Amain has the killer 9 for $230 right now. I thought this was going to be a high dollar race motor. I payed that for my H9. I should have waited and got the K9. What are runtimes like H9 vs K9?

Nope, both the Killer 9 and Hobby 9 are being marketed as RB's sports line. Check their website...

I don't get much runtime on my Hobby 9, around 8 minutes on a tank.

Does anyone know if the Killer 9 is a Novarossi based
engine? The case design doesn't look like any of the
other Novarossi or Sirio based RB engines that I found
pics of.

the Killer 9 looks more like a high end sport mill. The carb is different from the 'regular' sport engines ie: Junior 9 Hobby 9 Buggy S9(all of which have the same carb).
It also looks like the backplate screws are hex and I think the head screws are also hex?

Killer 9...all hex screws except the idle set screw. The carb does look abit different from the standard Novarossi/RB Concept carbs. Crankcase does look different but I am not sure what base its from. Its pretty though hehe...so lets look at it again.

You're probably right, it's too different to be a Novarossi design.

This may very well be the first self-designed engine from RB. Curious to know how it runs.

Anyone got any news about the Shark 3port engine?
It's a 3 port turbo engine made by novarossi sounds like RB's answer to novarossi's PLUS 21-4!

where did you hear about this?

Fairly obvious matey, the carb is straight off of a Force 36 engine with a shiny orange restrictor in it, definetely a Force made engine.. Just the look and feel of it aswell, internally and externally.

hehe correct
when the first pics came out you could tell by the cases that it was not the standard Novarossi based engine
lets hope these share some of the good qualities of the engines before and maybe give some that are better too

the Rally 9 is all old school based Novarossi/RB Concept design

rageworks 09-04-2009 12:31 PM

I want to see some pics of the Killer 9 apart.
Someone please tear one down and post some
pics of whats inside this engine.
