Well I ran the Shark9 which is basically the same engine minus a tungsten weight in the crank. Depending on track conditions I was getting anywhere from 9:45 to 12:30 in a buggy. If you have good throttle control and have been able to get good mileage with other engines you should have no problem with the X10.
Also I run the RB 2045 pipe and 192 header in buggy. You can get the engine to make more power with some of the JP pipes and other random pipes but you will not get the same fuel economy. |
I have a Hobby 9, runs real strong. Currently I am running a jp3 pipe, and would like to switch to a different pipe for some fuel milage. I know the 2045 would be good, but its so expensive. I am thinking about running a 086 dynamite pipe. Anyone try that pipe on a h9 (or s5)?
I see RB released some of the 11 models. b11, x11, and f11. |
IMO RB is digging themselves a hole putting the year on the engine. Absolute Hobbyz has plenty of B9's left for a good price. Hell every year the engines become somewhat obsolete.
|
The 086 pipe might get you a little better mileage than the JP but not a ton. If you want the best possible mileage you have to spend the money on the pipe that was designed for the engines.

The thing is the B11 is not the same as the B10 or the B9. It is still very similar but it is not the same engine. P/S/R will be a different part number as will the crankshaft. RB has been doing this ever since I started running them in 05.
As far as i can see: http://www.rbproducts.com/mainEn.php...te_moteurs.php Partnumbers for C6BBII / B9 / B10 crank: 01163-14B p/s/r set: 01146-53 The same partnumber for al 3 engines, no changes over the years. |

slash their price on those obsolete B9's, I may take a few of them off of their hands.  |

just for info , i have brand new in box RB B9 for sale $300 shipped.
was going use it for upcoming season. go to try an e-buggy. Seal not even broken. [email protected] |
My post says nothing about the B9 and B10 being different internally. Those engines have been the same since the C5BB. I stated the B11 will be different.
When I said they have been doing this over the years I meant they always release a new name for the engine line-up every year. Many times the changes are cosmetic changes, sometimes they are internal.

Hi guys
We always try to improve our engine line. Sometimes there is no change, but this year there are! The B11 is an improvement of the B10, descendant of the well known C6. As a result of many tests with the R&D team, the piston sleeve is upgraded to reduce the fuel economy, without loosing power! The F11 will bring you a huge power range, with the 7 ports piston sleeve. The specs are gonna be improved from the WS7 as now we use a 14mm crank with long stroke. The X11 is a 3 ports, the piston sleeve is similar to the Shark 9, but with more bottom power thanks to the crankshaft. If you have any question, you can contact me at RB Products USA. Regards Reno |
Thanks guys for the info
