Good to know I'm not alone. I will check back often for your review.

Maybe I'll have to sell my P3's and get P4's. Haha.

Also, I have a JP-3. I'll have to pick something else up, I guess.

Thanks, guys.

Fastest engines I've ever ran! Ed has just taken them to a whole new level, with the fully modded version.

Ooooh STOP down playing them! They are rockets without the wings but smooth as a babys (((BEEP!))) :D

Possible silly question here, but how would an engine that is race prepped like that react to pulling out of the box, mounting in a buggy and running different fuel than that which was used to break it in? (Sidewinder 30%)

Ok well, I asked about the horsepower because I wanted to know if it has the same or more power as my EB modded V-spec. Doesnt Ed include the dyno graph with the motor? Is so could someone tell me what it says?

Chad Phillips 07-10-2008 07:39 AM

Dyno-Dylan

1.5HP with stock using 2013
1.6HP with modded using 2013

1.6HP with stock using 2057
1.8HP with modded using 2057

2HP using modded using 086

power curve's are best with 2013 and 086

Correct me if I'm wrong but it looks like it can be whatever you want it to be! Theres 5-choices, pick one that best fits your style/car/track...;)

Chad Phillips 07-10-2008 08:57 AM

Colin - stock is TRI40064, modded is TRI40066

Joker - I would love to come to the barn but when there is 1,636 dollars in my bank account and friday I have to pay 1,488 on my mortage. That leave's 148 dollars to last a week. Which I have to pay 80 of that in gas to and from work. Now I have 68 dollars to buy groceries for 2 kids and wife. :tire:

Chad Phillips 07-10-2008 10:35 AM

i will make it up there this year.. promise..

slaytanic 07-10-2008 10:50 AM

Chad, my fully modded Extech should be here tomorrow. Any tips? I got 3 #5 and 3 #6 plugs to start and will be running the 086 with 30%. Going in the 808. Just lookin for some advice to make it go smooth.

Got a banner coming to to fly the colors. I'm going to TRY to make to the Worlds warm up 2 in at the Farm as I have traveling there for work. I have my fingers crossed that the dates will work!

Thanks!
Matt

Dyno-Dylan 07-10-2008 10:53 AM

Hey what's up?! Damn we all get around on these forums!

Anyway thanks for asking. This year has been a blast so far & only looks to get better & better. Master Louie had some new dirt trucked in that stays together so good it's almost like he mix some kind of glue in it! lol Also all brand new yellow pipe has just been laid down with a new layout that will be completed before this Sunday's race, the start of the first annual Northeast Super Series (NESS) sponsored by RC Driver and GMK Supply.

It's a 4 race point series with 2-races held at Barnstormers & 2-races held at Wolcott Hubby's. It should be a blast! ;)

Well couldn't resist the temptation, just ordered the last eb modded pre run extech at Amain. Gonna drop her in my XT8, will a 086 be a good setup? Also will the OS p4 work well in these hot summer temps in the midwest?

The 086 is a great pipe for this motor. It is an absolute screamer!!

The 086 makes killer mid and top end. I think the 2013 will add some bottom but take away a little top end.
Peak hp numbers don't tell the whole story, but you knew that already. ;)

I know that as well !!!!

anyways props to Trinity and EB Mods for some killer results on the Extech engines ....2.0 HP for a Offroad .21 is absolutely fantastic, no matter what pipe is being used... I eagerly look forward to seeing the dyno graphs and how each pipe affects the powerband..I am also eagerly looking forward to more info on the .24 !

ezveedub 07-11-2008 12:00 PM

The 2013 is a strong bottom powerband pipe. The 086 will make mid to topend power and scream. I would say neither pipe is THE best pipe. Your track will depict which pipe works best for you along with how you drive. Small-medium track with technical jumps, 2013. It you have a medium to large track with run-up room to the jumps, 086. You'll have to actually run them on the track to find out. Thats why have some many pipes now!

I have switched between the 086 and the 053. I have been using the 053 because our track is small and technical with small run ups to the jumps. I am also running it in a heavy truggy too.

Purchased the Eb modded Ex-tech .21. Ran awesome the first weekend. Couldnt believe the power. This weekend the carb started to stick at about half throttle. Can anyone from the Trinity gang possibly help me resolve this. Thanks..

ok Chad i fixed it! hahaha

soccerlaw 07-14-2008 02:07 PM

Would the .21 be enough for a 8-T or should I just wait for the .24? Looking at the EB Mods version for either. Medium sized track that requires a lot of bottom end.

Chad, sent you an email about the expected in-stock date for the .24s. Thanks!
