ran another two tanks today ruch settings friday i plan to lean alittle and run two more. nothing unusual idles all day long no problem though. I open the idle screw 1/2 turn during start up let it sit 30 - 45 seconds short blips to warm in up a little and once it warms return the idle screw to its original setting, once its warm it will idle for minutes with a little hicup under aceleration. I'm gonna lean the top a little and let er rip!!

just started to break in my Extech using trinity medium plug. it would idle for about a minute then the revs would go way up. Temps around 230 with sidewinder 20%. I reduce the idle and it comes down a little then after about another minute the revs jump way up again. Am I doing something wrong. Never had this on a break in before. Thanks

Do you live at a high elevation? I live in WV and the same thing happens here. I turn the idle down about 3/4 turn before I even fire one up for the first time. |
i would think 230 would be to high for the extech? with race tune in the summer around 195 and if i leaned it too much it would go into the 220 range and not run well. just a thought. mine idles all day at 165 yours reving up would seem like a air leak to me? what medium plug?

I am in Phoenix so alt is no prob. I am using the Trinity medium turbo plug. There is no number on it. I did not hi temp seal the carb or back plate. Should I?
The low speed is set 5 turns out (came from fractory that way) High speed needle is very tight, flush with top of brass fitting. I have been reducing the idle but it is way less than 1mm now. Thanks again |
i would use these settings:
hsn set flush then turn it out 7/8 turn lsn flush with housing then 1/4 turn out idle gap 1.25 mm use a p4 plug not knowing the plug number sucks lol hard to diagnose |
you have pm rick

I got about a half gallon thru my .24 tonight. All I can say is WOW!! 11 minutes a tank and still pretty rich. Smooth power everywhere and plenty of it.

Trinity EB MODS .21 Power Box Kit
I WANT TO BUY IN AMAINHOBBIES THE Trinity EB MODS .21 Power Box Kit with Kyosho, Mugen, X-Ray Style Clutch
[trI40201RP] BUT I WANT TO KNOW WHICH IS THE ENGINGE THAT COME IN THIS PACK? IN THE DECRIPTION SAID EB MODS .21 BUT WHAT IS EXACTLY THE ENGINE OF THESE THREE OPTIONS: [trI40066] (TRI40064] [trI40060] http://www.amainhobbies.com/index.ph...&filter_mfr=67 THANK YOU. |
The stock numbers should be
060-Stock Ex-Tech Not modded or broke in 064-Race prepped motor Broke in and flow tested 066-Full mod motor basically the same as the 064, but has a full mod on the motor The Power box you were looking at should have the 066 full mod motor in it. Hope that helped. |
The 2.0 engines aren't flow tested, or dyno tested..
|
