Hard to tell from the video. I will say that most, if not all, of the Clockworks test vehicles I have seen appear to be geared too short.

I've never met Neal, but I don't think that's him.

I will dyno anything ! quite a few people have sent me engines to dyno test...... The rules are is that they take full responsibility if the engine lets go... As well sometimes it may take me several weeks/months to get thru the entire testing..I don't always have my shop setup to dyno test..so if I am busy the dyno gets put on hold...... I wont publish the numbers from the engines...I will leave that up to the customer....whether good or bad its not my information to share....But regardless if anyone is curious to see what their engine has, and they are willing to wait the time and risk the engine getting damaged ( never happened yet tho) ..I am willing to test pretty much anything.....

OK boys - here it is !!

Talking with Taiwan this evening our time and got sent these pics of the new motor, with permission to release them for public viewing.
This is the finished product, as it stands ready to be put into production immediatly the Chinese New Year has concluded and things swing back into action.
Please be aware that orders will be accepted towards the end of February, with earliest delivery to distributors world wide in early to mid March.
So a little bit of a wait yet, but from what I can see, and what I have been told, it will be worth the wait

looks good! Eagerly awaiting the arrival of these stateside!

just a great looking engine. I would have liked to have seen ruune's avator on the side instead of just GO. I like flames. Trey you have a pm. Really a very nice job.

I like it :D

Knew about the new button and head but was sworn to keep it under my hat.

;)

Nice! Can't wait to get mine.:D

A thing of beauty indeed..but can I be tempted to desert my MG66 is the question..probably NOT in reality..not unless I hear some truly extraordinary reports once these things start running.

edit..tell you what - I'd pay for that style head and button but in black to fit the MG66 though :)

Hi Gizz - hmm, yes a black top hat like that would be nice on the MG wouldn't it. :tire:

From what I have picked up in conversation, the team drivers and head test driver for the GXII project are more than happy with the increased power and economy of this new motor. They made some subtle changes over the last couple of weeks to some of the porting and the crank from the motor that was run in China at the begining of this month. These changes resulted in more bottom end and some added improvements in economy.
It will be very interesting to see how the 5RHO stacks up against the MG66.
I will be running some comparisons once I have one of these new motors with enough fuel through it to be as free reving as my current (original) MG66.
Whatever the results are, I reckon it will be a nice choice to have to make

Wouldn't the MG look slick with that head and button eh? :D:D:D

I think I might have to whisper in Marks ear.I wonder if it will fit anyway.would be better in MG black though.Just ordered an MG66 X as a backup engine anyway..we will have 5 MG's running at our club this year ..was gonna take a look at the track today but as it's minus 9 outside I might just check the lambs again and get back in the warm ASAP instead..

triplesix 01-31-2011 04:55 AM

Did they ditch the TiN coating?

Stalkie 01-31-2011 04:56 AM

I notice that there is no Ti-Ni coating on the crank ? are they going away from that with this engine....

And yeah, a black and red one would(will:rolleyes:) look sweet !:D
