What restrictors are most of you guys using in the 5 port? I am mostly looking for run time. Also, I only see that included is the stock restrictor, do you get these from amain? Thanks!

Jason-What engine mount were you using with the .18 in the Revo? Looks like I'll have to dremel the stock mount for the .18 crank case to fit. I also am going to need a 40mm flywheel it seems. I'm considering having it modded. I haven't even started it yet for the break-in process...and how does your .28 run? Mine runs really strong when the temps are in the 200+ range but to get it there it seems like I have to run it too lean for my comfort zone. I kinda wish the carb had a mid range needle. After a gallon and a half of fuel I'm very happy with it overall, and some people have come to respect it after seeing it run wild on the track. It's got some serious power to be in the hands of a novice driver like myself haha. I can't wait for the OCM Truggy to be released, I see you're going to be driving OCM this year. My LHS carries them and I'm hoping to do the switch over as well around summer time if it proves to be a decent platform. Do you know when you'll have a truggy in your hands? Last I heard they were shipping out...

depends on the track...one high bite i run the 7.5mm but if im going for big run times i run the 6mm also helps to tame the bottom end a bit...

yes i also had to do a lil hand work to make it fit, and use the 40mm flywheel...

have you removed the extra shim from break in yet??? if not its time to remove it...if you already have then try a hotter plug...you say that your having a hard time getting over 200F but you also say your running lean, so what im wondering is how is your smoke???

yea ill be running for with team OCM for the 08 season and hopefully more year to come...the truggy is gonna be a killer and the evo buggy is dialed...pick one up, with your Go engine in the OCM you will be ready for what ever the track pitches at ya...

Good amounts of smoke until really high rpm's, at idle and low rpm it's spitting out liquid like crazy even though it's lean. I just recently took the extra head shim out, about a half gallon ago.

sounds like you low end LSN is rich and your HSN is lean, so richen your HSN 2 to 3 hours and lean your LSN 2 to 3 hours and just go from there...

i cant believe how well the GO engines perform, one of the OCM guys at my track was running one in and it was still fresh and fairly tight but man it already was showing great performace.

makes me want to think about selling my AXE Cobra.

Guys i need help on the 5 port.
It seems that the modified i intended to buy is almost double the price of the stock one. Shall i go for it or not?

I think that my LHS has only the 5 port in standard plug and sells the turbo button separately...will i notice any significant performance boost over the standard plug if i install a turbo?
How about runtimes?

And one last question...i will be using a JP-1 exhaust with the 5 port is this OK as far as runtime concern? I suppose that the low end power will be more than enough.

Here’s my opinion…

Don’t get the modded version
Do get the turbo (it’s a must)
If you can swing it pick up some TKO ceramic bearings and a Dynamite pipe

You’ll still have a relatively low cost engine that will run with anything on the track.

I never ran the JP-1 on mine, but if you have too much bottom it can become more difficult to drive. You can also loose a lot of acceleration to wheel spin. Just something to keep in mind.

most likely, I would get an 053 and depending on your track size, an 086. a jp3/4 will work as well, then of course you have the option of getting the GO 2047 which I hear works well on all the GO engines. I have one coming for my 3 port.
