I don't have a GX 7 but a gen 5 7 port, I have got 11min in buggy some days and not on others, the grip levels play a big part in how much fuel you use from day to day as well as other factors.
But it is possible.

Hey guys I'm having a half tank lean issue. I did richen the HSN and it isn't helping. I did add a fuel filter a couple of weeks ago. Do you think that could be causing the issue. Also I did try antoher tank and still the same thing.

welcome to my nightmare!!! been having that problem since i got the motor, have tried everyhing, replaced all lines, gas tank, sealed everything, tuned to specs and instructions, changed pipe, plug, carb, still getting it also, good luck! and also a fuel filter usally makes things worse, take it off and throw it in the garbage!

Yeah I'm going to run it without the filter and see what happens.

Hi,

I wonder if it is possible to rebiuld a R.21 5PT (silver head) engine with a piston and cylinder of the new GX-5R or GX-7R.

Thanks in advance !

With the really low temps lately you need to be running it alot richer on the hsn and even more lean on the bottom end. The last time i ran my engine it was 75 degrees and 2 nights ago it was 60 and i had to turn out the hsn about 1/4 turn and the lsn in about 2-3 hours to get it back into tune from where it was about a week ago. Last week it was running about 270 consistantly and this week it was up over 300 until i retuned it. Just wanted to let you know you might be chasing the weather and a tune at the same time. This time of year the temps fluctuate on a daily basis and it does complicate things alittle if you aren't 100% on tuning your engine.

try tuning the motor when it is at its hottest point(after about 2 full tanks) cause the chassis starts holding heat and makes the motor run hotter than you think!...what temps are you getting?...cause it may be getting a tad too hot!...try richening the bottom a couple hours and see if that works!...the LSN is NOT as touchy as the HSN!...so you can be 2-3 hours maybe 4 hours lean and not know it:nod:;) oh and try without the FUEL filter to see if that helps but the Fuel filter is not ALWAYS bad it just has to be AIRTIGHT!
