mark, what is acceptable pipe temps? I am having trouble with my mg-66. I know about the shim stacks, and melting bodies.but what would you rec for clutch springs? It's the initial snap. almost like rich for second then wild ass ride.I am using answer clutch system with the 1.0 spings,go-tec 2072 pipe,30% byrons gen2 nitro. I will be going to the Amain 30% nitro from our U.S. distributor after I finish off my 1.5 gallons. I tried the amain25% nitro. what I like about it is how clean it burns. Inside of engine was perfectly clean. I am really wondering knowing what I have learned from this site and yours,if 20% nitro is the way to go. I know there is all sorts of things that go to pipe temps, but if you could point me in the right direction It would be appreciated.
Acceptable pipe temps ? Have no idea , Hot enough to burn yoru hand :) Check the inside recioever collett of your fly wheel , it may be worn and slipping , check the collet too , if it has scoring on it thats probably where its lagging .. The MG has plenty of instant snap. If you run the 30 % A Main be sure to run 0.6 shims total. 7 mm restrictor Run 1.1 springs. Answer rc shoes , 13 or 14 tooth depending .. M |

Tuning video
Hi, can Grizz or Massive Mods please make a short tuning video an put up on Youtube?
Covering how to tune both the long and short needle carbs, what to look/see/hear for, common mistakes etc etc. This would be hundred times better for me than just reading about it. Thanks. Frode |
What a great idea, go on you know you want too.

Sounds like Massive is far better equipped for the job than me (hmm, that didn't sound quite right did it ).
Would be a cool thing to have on vid. I think something like that should really come from Massive, after all, he is the Guru of the GO's. Especially seeing as he is involved in R&D and design on these motors. Sorry Mark, looks like I just dropped some extra work in your lap buddy :) |

It's just like it was when Russel ran the show Matt.
If Amain doesn't have it listed, none of the other dealers are set up with a web site that you can order directly from. There is no list of dealers and there phone numbers or web addresses on the go-engines-usa.com site. So it's a crap shoot if the dealer you get ahold of doesn't have what you need in stock. He has to have the parts shipped from GOUSA to him and then to you. If GOUSA doesn't have the item in stock, then it's an extra to weeks to two months wait. Thats how I ended up owning so many GO engines. Hell, one out of five should be up and running while waiting for the delivery man to show up. No, no I don't have the part you need, but I can give you a great deal on a new engine, said the dealer. S.O.S. as before. |
Matt I have ten of the older style or0023 o-rings.
E-mail me your address and i'll give you four of them if you want. Good enough to keep you going for now. |
