the 2047 is a great all around pipe...it gives great power all across the power band...

yes the 2047 will work great on the 3port...

I just ran my 7 port turbo yesterday and it ran great. However, do these engines get shipped on the lean side? I had to richen it up quite a bit for breakin since it has a severe case of lean bog. Anyone else get these engines shipped to them with a lean setting?

RETRO RC - what locally supplied plugs are you runing in your 7 Port Turbo ?

sorry grizz ben away for a few days,

I'm running rossi #6 or 7's matt stocks them.

give the 6 a try first they're a little easier to tune but the 7's work better on a really hot day. odonell 97t's also if you can get them

a few guys are running OS P3's and they seem to work ok a little hot for my liking

by the way what did you think of the 2047

adrian

PS congrates on the OCM drive Jason

Rex....looking at GO motors for the 2008 MNRC?

jay75021 01-06-2008 06:57 PM

I finally got to run my go tech 3 port for the first time. This motor is well worth the money! Easy to tune good bottom and top end couldnt ask for more for the price of this engine!

petevette 01-06-2008 07:00 PM

Hi Jay, Congrats - good to hear. Do you have a race tune on it yet? When you broke it in, did you find the top needle to be lean right out of the box?

SKOT 01-06-2008 07:34 PM

When I got the updated carb for my engine last summer the needles were all screwy out of the box. I can't remember if it was lean on top or bottom, but it was lean. I guess that just happens every once in a while. You just have to tune it out.

does anyone know if the go tech conrod for the 21 will fit in a p5x? i think i may be able to make that p5x good enough for a backup motor if i can get a gotech rod for it, until i can get another go anyway... im not spending all that $$ for a nova rod, i just dont have that much confidence in the old motor, LOL!

It was a great day for GO at Leisure Hours today. Very, very tight racing as usual. 56 buggies, 27 truggies and a LOT of GO's. I know of at least 4 more guys who have decided to go with GO in 2008 after seeing todays racing. Hope you join our happy family. :D

I finally decided to go with the 5 port GO engine.
I'm ordering one this week but i'm still in between the moded one i posted a few posts back which it's with a standard plug:
http://www.imodel.fr/1539_1-178-MOTEURS-GO.im

or get the 5 port turbo plug stock engine at around $150 cheapper?
Of course the modified comes with silicone filled crank which is not seen in simple mods.

Will i be noticing the extra power? Is it worth it?

jbrow1 01-06-2008 10:34 PM

So did these engines used to have carb problems? If so are they fixed? My buddy had one and it never ran right out of the box. I thought I remembered reading about some guys jb welding some parts of the carb or something silly like that. Got a link for a good place to buy these? Thinking of picking one up for the summer so I can try it out for myself and see what all the hype is about..
