Will G, the shims may be bad, Or the engine got over tightened on one side, that can happen even if you tighten in a criss cross pattern but don't get all 4 bolts snug first. If youhave any bends in the shims replace them, if not try retightening the head.

if you run an 053 pipe in the cold (like 10-20 degrees air temp) do you have to lean the motor out alot.

yesterday in joliet, il. track temps were like no more then 20 degrees. i didn't want to keep leaning my motor out alot. i was running a jp3 pipe before with awesome low end with great top end. temps for the motor were around 225 with very impressive power. as soon as i put the 053 pipe on, my high needed to be leaned out about 5 hours just to get anywhere near my motors sweet spot, but i still didn't like the power i was getting

decided to put the jp3 back on and loved driving with my go motor again

Which engine are you using? 5 or 7 ? Which brand of 053 pipe?
