anybody have a USED GX5R or Mg66 for sale?....my buddy needs 1 but doesnt have enough to buy a new 1! lol cheap skate!

Yes i know i sent my engine to him to have repinched. But yeah i was confusing compression with pinch, although my engines do have alot of compression, they'll pop the button head off when rotating the flywheel if they are not secured down with bolts. But i have no way of comparing that to other .21 engines, i've always run small block engines in the past.

Go motors generally come with 3 shims installed on the head button, 2 x alloy and 1 x copper. Pull 1 of the alloy (silver) shims after you have broken it in fully ie after a couple of gallons and run the 0801 Pipe (any brand 0801, Go, PR, Aplus etc all come from the same place) and the Go's go like crazy! Also, may need to go to a colder plug, I was typically running P4's, had to go to P5's or P6's after as P4's wouldn't hold together after pulling the shim.

Hi Mauve. Just a slight correction to your post.
The GO motors come with 3 x shims. 1 x .3mm alloy shim and 2 x .1mm copper shims.
After the first gallon or so, remove one of the thin .1mm copper shims (not the alloy one). This will give you a little more power and slightly improved run times.

I'm just making sure I understand what you are saying. This doesn't include the break in shim that comes in the box correct. The shims you are talking about are on the motor? I'm a little over a gallon and would mind a bit more power.

That's right the break in shim is extra over the 3 fitted as standard.personally I'd wait till the 2 gallon mark to remove the shim ..I remove mine as I change the break in rod ..do note the xtra compression gives a little more power and tank time but will require finer tuning to find the sweet spot..

Does anyone know when Answer-RC will have MG66's (not combo) in stock? They are listed as being out of stock on the website. Will they be stocking the MG66X?
