You would like the 5 port, some people have trouble with it having too much low end power. I still like it with the timing change for a buggy.

what does the timing change do..I assuming it makes it smoother and less like a light switch......With out having to purchase another pipe which one of these would run best with it..TT2035,OS 2060,JP3 I think maybe the os 2060 will smoothen it out even more and give better run time while the others will make it be even more torqy than it already is

Yes the timing change makes it smoother on the bottom and makes it almost like a 7 port on top.
Probably the 2060 but I have never ran any of the pipes listed, the Jp3 might work good too. We have been using the Nova 9901, the 086 was good but fuel mileage is better with the 9901.

Hey rossoh10,

I wouldn't recomend the jp3 on any of the Go engines as they don't tend to get the full potential out of them and your runtimes will also suffer.

the TT2035 is a pretty good pipe on the 5 port and if you use a shorter header you'll get the less aggressive feel down low your after and some more top end to boot.

It would be hard to tell the performance difference between the TT2035 with the shorter header and the OS2060 and run times are about the same.

Hope this helps

Thank god I did not erase your email message. The biggest thing I fk'd up was taking the sleeve out. I put the zip tie through the back of the exhaust port, instead of down the cylinder to catch the lip of the cylinder. Got it all done and the engine did not want to run. I put in 20% nitro, this one likes 30%. still no go, switched carbs put in an os p-4 plug 20% nitro thing rips. This engine now that it is fully broken in and tuned is way to much for me let alone a buggy. I may put it in my wife's x1x jammin as it is heavier then the hyper 8.5 that the engine is in now.I am going to have to think about it. I may try it in my x-2 jammin and see how it makes that buggy react. I'm going to reseal the old carb with the seals I got from massive mods make sure it runs good and holds a tune then sell it. I am thinking 165.00 shipped lower 48 only. This really belongs in a truggy.

Don't sell it Matt. You'll want to keep it around for a good back-up engine.

Yeah Matt. Thats too good a motor to let go of. I am sure you can tame it for the buggy with a suitable restrictor and clutch adjustments etc. Try a 14 tooth bell. That smooths out the 5 Ports quite a bit. Would be a shame to say goodbye to such a work of art

You can set the throttle with EPA, but I'm sure you know that. And then there is the one I can never get the hang of.....dont floor it!(until conditions permit) LOL

I will try with it in the x-2 jammin with stock jammin clutch set up. already have 6.5 restrictor with throttle epa set at 60%. I do the idle for 10 seconds or more then punch it. all 4 tires balloon up like they are on the back of a drag car. with the 7 ports it's smother down low about same on top. I also went composite clutch shoes with 90 mugan springs. did not like that[springs] so went to 95's much better. with the 90's the shoes were way to loose.Grizz knows my story. I started racing this year and was thrown in with the intermediates not beginner. no class for beginner in series. I some how have managed to be in 5th place so far. now I am going to use the 8.5 for practice, breaking in engines and race my x-2 only. the jammin is not as squirrelly as the hyper 8.5. and I have tried all different gear fluids to settle it down. Hell when I had my axial 28rr in it it was easier to control. Now that this 5 port is broken in it screams. I will say that coming up on a short run jump it will triple with ease. I am not some super pro but have yet to have anything pull me down on a straight. It's quite the opposite, some one can be 1/4-1/2 ahead of me on a medium-long straight and this engine will be on top of them buy the next corner. Now if I could keep it from doing 360's in the corner I might win a race or two.-LOL

That throttle control is a bis-nitch to get a handle on when the adrenalin gets a-goin, isnt it?
