I have both, just have not fired up the 7 port yet. But the 5 port is a monster. I swapped out my axial 28rr for the modded 5 port no regrets at all. with the dynamite 086 pipe this thing rips. It was a bitch to break in but once broken in they are worth the money. Mine holds a tune very nice, I don't really ever touch it to be honest. mostly when the weather changed was about it. I am going on my third gallon of fuel and from what I understand I should easily double that.

Either one will do great in a buggy. 0801/086 for the 5 port and 2047_0801 header/053 for the 7 port and with the latest gen carbs they should be very reliable. Vspec/NR/Ninja JX carbs also work well if you have tuning issues with the Go carb

I dont know why I dont hear too much about the 3 port, man they are awesome. I have 1 on the way. They are super sick and they have that awesome newer designed head plus the 3 has the newest designed internals out of the 3 race mills. I will have it modded and use it along with my PTM 5 as a tuning option I cant wait to try it and from what I hear it is the easiest of the 3 to break in. I just want to see an awesome mill get some of the limelight like it deserves. I ran a stock 1 and it was so smooth I am just addicted to modding my mills to get the most out of them but there really is no need to. And about the parts availibility, Russel told me he is workin on things so just be patient guys.

You guy's have to realize Russell invested quite a bit of time and $ on the Eb motors. I believe they ordered 100 motors, all the other stuff got a little behind after the first of the year. Don't worry, he'll be caught up soon.

well since I'm the one crying the hardest I should be the one to apologize to Russ. But on the flip side I did make some new friends at massive mods. I just feel if your going to push the product you better have support to back it up or people are going to go else where. I was looking for a con rod c clips wrist pin and I cannot get these items in the U.S.? Now that's getting behind. no web site, email doesn't work makes a person wonder.

It's generally regarded that the 7 Port is better suited to a buggy and the 5 Port to truggy, but either motor is wicked in a buggy.
I run a Massive Mods Gen 5 Stage 5 5 Port in my X Ray buggy and it rips
The modded 5 has wicked bottom, but I think smoother bottom end power (which suits a buggy) than the standard 5, plus it has the extended top end of the 7. It really leaves a stock 5 for dead on the top end. It is a really well balanced motor. With 6.5 restrictor it gives very good run times with power to burn.
If you are getting a modded motor from Mark at Massive Mods I would recommend the Stage 5 5 Port. It has all the power you will ever need, but is easily tamed with clutch and restrictor to suit any track. Run it with the 0801 Pipe.
I have a Gen 4 Stage 3 7 Port, but have never run a highly modded 7, so can't give you an informed opinion on that motor at say Stage 5 mod.

The modded motors hold their tune just as well as a stock motor. They last just as long as well.
Once you have mastered tuning with the long LSN, these motors are a breeze to tune and run.
Plenty of info on the long LSN in the last 10 or so pages. It's no big deal, just run the HSN at flush to 1/4 turn in, and tune with the LSN. Simple.

Default 5ports with 2047

Hello guys,
do you think the pipe 2047 is a good choice to the Stock 5 Ports ?

That is what I have in a box yet.

Should I change the pipe ?

Thanks,
Cestari

No the 0801 is the correct pipe from GO for the 5 port, you can also use the dynamite 086. These are top end pipes where the stock 5 port lacks, the 2047 is a mid range pipe so you will spool up quickly then have no top end power at high RPMs. The 2047 or 053 is for the 7 port the 0801 or 086 is for the 3 and 5 port engines sorry.

I think it would run just fine with the 2047, you maybe would like the 0801 better but the 2047 is alot tougher.

Performance wise the 0801 or 086 is a much better choice though Rex you got to agree with me there I have had issues with the 0801 stinger bending in and what not but mid pipe is a mid pipe and top is a top. I just dont see a modded or stock 5 needing any help at all until the higher midrange through the top.

The 2047 has pretty good top end too. That's why it works so well on the 7 Port with the longer header. If that's what you have it will do the job fine. No question though, the 0801 or the 086 do work very well on the 5 Ports, stock or modded and would be the first choice pipes for this motor.
