see I ran the 007 pipe all last year and it was awesome. Ran great and all. Had alot of bottom to mid range which is what the pipe was for. Just wasnt sure if i should try something else or not is all.

Hmm I'm running Ed's pipe too... my motor is just barely getting rid of metal pinch after a gallon.... temps are around 240-260 depending on how much power I need

Please never turn your needles in and count the turns out. More damage then good can come from this.
Idle Gap:
Look through the top of carb, now back the idle screw out and lightly with your finger push the throttle arm closed as you turn the screw. Watch the gap close, once you see the radius on the slide match the carb body then stop turning the idle screw. There should be no gap at this setting. From this point it's 1 1/8 turns in on Idle screw.
LSN:
Flush with housing, then 1/2 turn out for baseline.
HSN:
Go flush with housing then 3/4 turn out for baseline settings
What Plug and Fuel you using?

I planned on it Tony but what are the stock springs 1.0's I already grabbed a few extra sets of shoes and springs thinking they were. On my calipers they are in between .9 and 1.0 but way closer to the 1.0 side.

Just sharing info guys, this last weekend my P3 plug went bad and i didnt had any other turbo plug on my box and the only ones at the track were HPI #7 Turbo Medium Plugs ... WOW, great experience so far, 90 minutes already on that plug and looks like new ...

The 7 Port has fantastic top end, which you are probably missing out on by running that pipe. Maybe borrow a 2047 or 0801 for a few laps and see the difference. But if your happy with it, don't change it.

Hi guys, i have a new 3pt race with 0801 pipe and header that i have nearly finished running in and have noticed the header and now pipe are starting to tarnish. It almost looks like little rust spots but i always clean every thing when i am finished running and spray a bit of wd40. Is this normal? i am a bit disappointed as if it keeps getting worse its going to look old and unkept really soon.

Ya I think stock is 1.0, I've got a gallon mine and is about done now.

Griz, thanks for you help but I did put in a new clutch, springs and clutch bearings when the problem first reared it's ugliness. I have a RC8 w/ 2 Impulse hard shoes and 1 carbon shoe, 1.0 springs. This is the same set-up that had been great for several races and all of a sudden, it's running like sh@t. I'm going to tear it down and replace the rod, wrist pin, put in TKO ceramics, reseal everything, and reset the carb settings. Hopefully that will fix the problem. Otherwise, I don't know what else I could do besides trying 1.1 springs but I don't understand why it would just now decide to shit on me.
When setting Idle gap, should I set it with the carb restricters in or out?

Hmmm. It's a strange one alright. Seems funny it runs fine on the box, but bogs as soon as you put it on the ground. Sort of eliminates fuel blockage etc. Definitly sounds like something binding in the drivechain that is putting stress on the motor. Hopefully a complete strip down and rebuild will find or solve the problem for you.

Hi guys im really interested in getting myself a new Go engine after my not very old Werks disintergrated on the weekend, I own aa AE RC8T truggy and was wondering which engine would suit out of the 5pt .21, 6pt .25 or the .28, my werks was the .28 and i loved the torque that it had but the economy was not too flash. your opinions will be helpful
