Sounds like the boys have it covered
Does sound like an idle gap / too rich problem. Either the idle gap is too small and the motor is simply stalling, or it's too rich on the bottom and it's loading up after a full throttle burst and choking itself. If it's too lean on top it would normally die as you accelerate away, say around half throttle. Just crank the idle up a little and see what happens. Maybe try a hotter plug too.

its human nature to think the worst of a bad thing at times and then all the simple stuff over looked and the small problem then becomes complicated and people then get fustrated just by over looking something easy......
then people learn to dislike that certain product what ever it be

thanks grizz. I swear if I can get all this info into a manual I will post so every body can print it out. a lot of info passes this thread, like I said earlier if some thing strange happens to any of the go engines after it has been running properly. chances are it is something simple, not mind blowing disastrous.

I have a collection of print outs that I have done, stored in one of those folders with the clear plastic pages. Trouble is I have so many print outs slipped in there I cant find what I'm looking for half the time

I need an indexing system or a secreatry

I agree 100% with you guys on the tune thing. Once you have your motor running good, it's normally only some small thing that causes problems. Nothing worse than changing everything you had set up perfectly, looking for a problem, to find it was only a loose fuel hose connection or something. Then you have to start from scratch again
I hate it when that happens !!!!!Best idea is to post on here. There is always someone who has had that problem themselves, or knows what to do. We are such a clever bunch really

Yep, there is a lot of good stuff posted up here on both the GO threads (and others).

Well guys I just wanted to let everyone know I tried the Caster Grenade pipe on my PTM 5 port all day at the track and I have to say its awesome. I will never put the Dynamite 086 back on there unless I was paid to. Smoother band better runtime, just all around a better pipe. It has the length of the 086 with the taper at the end of the 053 but the body of the pipe is much fatter. Now the header is a work of art it is much thinner than the 086 header but much longer. Total even know the pipe is the same exact length the pipe and header is about 1/2 inch longer than the 086 at least. If you have acces to this pipe try it. I easily got 1 minute more runtime out of it to i couldnt belive it.

5 Port - Massive bottom end, great mid, good top. Ideal truggy motor, but can be run in buggy with correct gearing and clutch. Run 2072 or 0801 pipe
7 Port - Good bottom end, great mid, massive top. Ideal buggy motor, but ok for truggy as well. Run 2072 or 0801 pipe.
Hope this helps. Read back some 30 or so pages
you will pick up lots and lots of info on all three motors. If you have any other questions just ask

mike_G i have a moded 3 port in my buggy and i will tell you with out a lie its the best motor i have ever put into my buggy the power is explosive its awsome i run the go 2072 pipe on it
in my truggy i run the 7 port and it powers it along with no problems what so ever more than enough power with the 0801 pipe

Need quick advice..
One of my Go colleagues with buggy, today finished his old 5port, the next weekend we have serious race and we have headache, at present I have setting in shelve brand new 3R so I could sell him to help out...but the problem is with pipe, nobody can give/sell 047pipe, our track is qiet open, fast and there is one loong straight, the options of pipes are-
086 it is his, so he can play with pipe and header...
062
801
053
Or is it worth to pay big$$$ and with Fedex bring 2072?
Any suggestions, many thanks

801 would flat out sooner on top end with original header?
#7185
if you can get a 2072 pipe befor your race meet do it this pipe is like a combined 0801 with a 2047 header on it .... depending on how long the straight is tresting i guess is the only way
Massive mods has dyno a motor with the 2072 pipe and it had .4 more horse power ....
i run a 0801 pipe on my 7 port in truggy
