+1 on heavier springs, and try a JP-2. Works great on my 3 port and 7 port. Tried a JP-1 but it took to much off the top.

pipes
I've never tried the jp pipes as they are not EFRA approved for racing in europe but I use the HN 2047 ..( the GO 2047 is exactly the same )on both my .21 7port and the .21R 3 port and it makes insane power everywhere..maybe a touch more top than bottom end power but the heavier clutch springs counter that..never had a problem passing anything except the black speed tuned OS v-spec but thats a truly silly motor and costs $400+ ..

really I've never had a problem leaving the speeds behined with my stock 7pt turbo with the 2047 pipe. If you want a little more bottom end get yourself a 98mm rossi header or a header of the 0801 with the 2047 pipe and you'll be more than pleased with the bottom on the 7 and 3 ports with out losing noticable top end. pipes
cool thanks for the info I'll try the different header..a little more bottom punch would be nice...and re the speed motors..dunno but we have just one guy in our league with one and its so fast its silly..luckily he can never keep it on the track long enough to win anything....no idea what he's had done to it or what pipe he runs or anything but it has a very distinctive scream just before he disappears over the back of a bank and into the scenery hehe

Why does it appear that everyone is using "hot" glow plugs on the GO .21 5-Port Turbo?
I would have thought that you would use a "cold" or maybe even a "medium" plug? However, I have never owned an engine that required a "Turbo" plug. |
I am getting ready to change my rod, pin, clips, and go to TKO bearings on my PTM .21 5 port, I have just alittle over 2 gallons on it. Will I see a gain in performance from the TKO's and if so where?
|
If any of you guys get a chance, try out the Caster Racing Grenade pipe on the GO's. I just put one on my 7-port and it is insane. Has more power all the way around. Just screams.

what is that pipe equivalant to ??
|
Malik, I am abig fan of ceramic bearings and have ran them in most of my engines, you will find the engine will be crisper on the bottom with a better idle and will not really be faster on top but will pull harder on top, that is just the feeling I got from running them. Not to mention the TKO bearings are good quality and will last a long time.

I did not see an answer to your question so if I missed it sorry. The new Go 5 port is going to be $279 The EB mods version is going to be $349. I personally talked to the importer last night. So this is not hear say. Also they are about 2 weeks away from getting them.
Or are you saying that Go are increasing their prices in the states on their 5 ports to $279 |
