Richen the HSN a bit more and lean the LSN a little. With the temps going up a little high at the end of a tank it sounds like the LSN is too rich. Check idle gap as well. It appears the Go motors (especially 5 / 7 ports) like a pretty fat HSN and are very sensitive to LSN tune.

If anyone has the old style LSN try it in the new carb

Jason, they havn't come in yet.

Garrett, richen the hsn, we are running almost flush on the HSN and a few full turns ion on the LSN, should get you in the ball park.

The 3 port sport sleeve will lose the metal pinch faster than the 5 and 7 ports, put a racfe tune on it and letter eat

Does anybody know where I can buy go tech engine parts - specifically the engine crank case for a .25R? Here's my story (do not read if faint of heart!):

Spent all day breaking in my new Go Tech .25R in my brand new 8ight-T. Was taking it really slow and following all the break-in rules as it was the first race engine that I've owned. Had the local track/LHS owner helping me. Was on the fifth tank and just starting to give short WOT bursts. Had a electrical issue (don't want to mention what it was as is embarrassing), can ran away at full speed, hit the underneath of a parked car at full speed and literally ripped the engine out of the truggy. The engine case fins are still firmly bolted to my engine mount and the engine case has huge holes were it was ripped out of the car. Never even got a single lap on the track. I was seriously in shock packing up my stuff at the track. Was seriously on the verge of sticking everything left on ebay and walking away from the hobby.

So if anyone knows where I can get an engine case I seriously would appreciate it. I will say that it was sounding so good before the brain fart on my end that I think I'm actually also gonna buy another one as well as fixing my first one.

Check with Russell, he's the US distributor, [email protected] I'm sure he will have some info that you may need.

if your talking about the o ring that seals the carb and the engine i recommend sealing that part with rtv my carb didn't move but it still had a bad leak replace the oring when you can get one then seal the carb going into the engine

do the 3port sport suppose to lose some of the pinch during break in? I have 4 tanks on it and the compression do not feel as tight anymore. I can rolll it pretty easy with my hand, temp no higher than 207. My p7r has about 1/2 gallon it and it is super tight, temp on it is around 225 to 230. But still blow lots of smoke. should i send it back or what?

rawdawgga, I have to ask, are you rolling the flywheel right after you put a tank through it or when it's completely cold?

Well right after a tank it is very easy, but this morning i checked it and it was alittle better, but not as tight as my p7r. Is that ok ?

I have a turbo button head for it when should i install it? your commits please, thank you.

Go engines do not hold pinch nearly as long as Picco engines do...Picco uses a harder billet piston material which takes longer to wear into the sleeve...Go use a softer cast piston that wears in much faster then the Picco will....... so everything your noticing is perfectly normal..

when should i change to the turbo head? And will it give me more top end? It is the 3 port sport.

I have never run a Go 3 port, so I am not sure if adding a turbo button will increase top end... I usually find turbo plugs give a motor crisper throttle response and a more consistent idle as well as longer lifesapn..the motors seem to feel stronger possibly because the throttle response is crisper, but I am unsure if you would see much HP or RPM gain on a dyno...... myself I definitely prefer turbo motors to standard motors and I feel they are well worth the extra cost

I would go with the a .21 the .25 is nutty. I have a 3 port race and 5 port race and prefer them both over my .25 its just a little much for the small tracks we run on.
