Yep - for truggy the 5 Port is king. Massive bottom end and more than enough top end too. For buggy the 7 Port is superb. Plenty of bottom that can be tamed with clutch if required, great mid and crazy top end that just goes on forever. Run the GO EFRA 2072 pipe on either motor (get the combo kit with pipe included).
Don't know what car you have, but the JVD / Ascendency 4 shoe clutch with 1.0 mm springs is awesome on the 7 Port in buggy. Real nice hook up that suits the motor perfectly.
You may want to check out the MG66 motor too. Same pipe & clutch set up in buggy. This motor combines all the good things from both the 5 and the 7 plus a bit more. Very powerful and smooth.
You won't be disapointed with any of the GX series GO's or the MG66, promise

You have to test a .25 GO with Turbo Button and 2072 pipe in Truggy ... YOU WILL LOVE IT ...

Cheers Pato, I forget about the .25 motors, as we are not allowed to run them here Max of .21 in truggy, so the 5 Port is top dog here.
Maybe one day the powers that be will see the light

I own a .25 6-port with a standard plug button and the red head. I'll report on how it performs in an 8T 2.0 truggy as soon as I finish breaking it in. It seems to pull nice and smooth even running rich on 20% @220 degrees and on tank 5. Most engines have that weird carb transition hit, especially during break-in. I'm using a Dyn 086 pipe and an OS#8 plug for now.

So far I'm finding that there isn't much information about this engine. I don't know a thing about which parts work. It seems to be a unique line without clear generation history. No one talks about it because it's a bit of an outlaw motor for any real racing. I'm just a club guy these days. I'll contact Rex here in the US.

I need to buy a conrod/wristpin and replace them after 1.5 gallons or so. The mechanical pinch is insanely tight. Be sure to pre-heat for the first gallon.

Trey will support that engine no problem.

Ive been using .25 for 2 years and i LOVE IT, specially now last 2 weeks practicing with it after put turbo button head.

Dont worry about the pinch, it will survive, i changed rod after 3 1/2 gallons last time and only for precaution as it didnt had play on it.

About plugs, for me on NON TURBO the best was the ODONNEL non turbo one medium ... this one :

ODOG0200 100 Big block monster truck .21 - .50 Medium

cya !

You only need to go to the GO thread in the Aussie section to see one in a Truggy, in action.

Default Rota Starter

Got a GO Tech 28 in a Caster truggy, was wondering if there is a conversion to enable a rota starter plate to be fitted?
