Hi, I have a 3 Port econo with a Turbo plug in a losi buggy and I like the JP1 the best, but have only ran it on smaller indoor tracks. For that kind of track this is a killer combo, has plenty of punch and enough top end. For the 3 Port race it seems to like the JP3.

Also, FYI, I know most people recommend the 5port turbo for a .21 truggy engine, but I am running a 7port turbo with a Dynamite 053 pipe, 3 shoe dynamite max-life clutch with 1.1 springs and I can tell you this is a killer combo in my losi truggy (would probably be to much for buggy, but I plan to try it anyway  ). It has plenty of punch then a very smooth, linear power band that just never seems to stop pulling with very good mileage.

Next, I have to admit, I have not really like the go 2047 pipe on any of the motors. I have tried it on all 3 and did not really like it on any of them :weird: . I know it is a recommended pipe for most of the .21 motors at least, so not sure about that one.

Lastly, I have to say, that the 7 port turbo setup I am running in my truggy is currently my favorite motor setup, like it better than my V-spec. It is just so smooth and never seems to stop pulling. Thumbs up Go-tech!

:weird: why didn't you like the 2047???

The motors (3 port sport, 3 port race, 7 port turbo) all seemed to be very flat with that pipe. Did not have good bottom, mid or top. With the other pipes (Dynamite 086, 053, JP1, JP3) there was a noticable range where the motor performed better but then with the Go 2047 it seemed you kept waiting to for something to happen and it never did. Not sure how to explain it other than the motors seemed flat. 2 of my race buddies even made the same comment.

Where do you get the Go pipes at, and also where is a good place to get the 3R since amain doesn't sell it?

anyone beside me tried RB 2045 on the 7 port? its really make it alive bottom to top.

jsmax 04-09-2008 06:48 AM

I have a go pipe I'd sell ya.....

RB 2045 huh, might have to give that a try.

What pipe has been working for the .25? tried the 086, was'nt to impressed, went to the 053, much better.

veno i ran the 053 at the az finals last week with you when we both bumped into the A i had ross help tune motor little bit and man did it help a ton and that pipe seemed to make the engine rpm smooth. i think a go 2047 would be good to if thats the one like the jp2 thnx will g

ps veno thats was great race man im glad we both bumped into the A

aznitronut 04-09-2008 07:13 AM

Will, it's always good to bump to the A-main, at least you finished, oh well, a year and a half without servo problems? stuff happens! I have been using the 053 on my .25, still just curious of others pipe choices.

TMizzle 04-09-2008 07:47 AM

the GO 2047 is the best pipe i have found for the .25
very smooth, powerful and an awesome sound.

run time, i guess about average...

aznitronut 04-09-2008 08:18 AM

Thanks for the feedback on the pipe tmizzle, I'll have to give it a try. This .25 has been a real pain breaking in, temps to high, rarely under 250, and if it is, no power, notice carb had air leak, and bottom o-ring in case for carb was a little fuzzy, I don't get that, I never had the carb out of it, sealed the carb, but have not tried since then, around a half plus or so fuel thru it. This is my 3rd Go engine, I have the 5 port and the 7 port motors already.

I am really suprised to here people don't like the 086 on the .25 besides the 7 port thats all i run, the 053 rocks on the 7. I found the 2047 really makes the 3 port race pop on the bottom, almost to much. on a small tight high bite tack it's a great combo, but for tracks with long straits it falls flat on top, the 086 keeps the 3 port linier on bottom but the mid to top is very strong. I finally got my own .25 for the Caster Truggy, i plan on using the 86 after it's been TEAM modded, i will try to get a vid together.

The 7 port to me is a monster, at the atlanta race in FEB it was all i could do not to pull thye 3 port out and put in the 7 port, but once i put the 86 on the 3 i was very happy, a few others where running my modded 7 ports and they where making it hard on me not to ryn mine. The 7 turbo is killer in buggy and truggy.

superdave2 04-09-2008 04:47 PM

these are the engines that losi makes right????????:weird:

TMizzle 04-09-2008 05:12 PM

My experience with the 3R + 2047 is that it made PLENTY power every where from the bottom to the top. I honestly forgot I was running a 3port. The track had a long straight to a sweeper and I had so much power through out the whole track and it was silky smooth.

I will probably ONLY run 3R's and maybe I will run one of the new 7 ports.

Honestly, I don't see how you can get better than the 3port race. GO got it right with this one! oh and the head looks awesome too!
