Yep. Massive Mods is located in Australia and PTM in the States. I would guess their work is very similar (don't want to upset anyone here :)). They work on the crank, ports etc to boost power and economy. I believe the modded 3 Ports are nasty :sneaky:

I also meant to ask what is the best plug to use for non turbo buttons? I would like to stick to OS. At the moment my mate uses the OS #8 plugs. I have been using McCoy MC-9's and would like to switch to OS.

I know you guys recommend the OS P3 for turbo, but I have the standard button head, I want to keep that as everyone else I race / bash with uses normal plugs, so if I run out, I know that someone else will have a spare.

i will stick to the "standard" (if it can be called that) R spec 3 port till i get some EXP, then i'll consider modding or stepping up to a 5 or 7 port!

I have a 7port with about 4 gallons on it now maybe 4 1/2...... I am running Odonnell's 30% with a OD97T plug and 053 pipe with 8mm carb insert. all this in my 8ight buggy. I am not able to get more then 7mins of run time.... trying to get 7:30 for half way of 15min race... ran out of fuel 3 times trying to do that.... how much time can I knock off with say a 7mm insert ? and how much power will I lose ?

tryin to get a little more bottom from my 3 port r engine for the bigger outdoor tracks here in ohio. running a jp3 pipe and maxxlife shoes w/1.0 springs in my mugen buggy. anyone have any suggestions to gain some low end punch? thx

Try 1.1 springs. Or maybe a hotter plug. Could also try an 053 pipe but might kill a little top.

Pantara, the 3 port will get you going in the right direction till you get use to nitro if your not already, the dynamite pipe is very good, thicker but still good, the 0801 you are hearing about is the latest from GO, it seems to be a NR 9886 in size and shape, and is pretty much a top end pipe, but it has something the dynamite doesn't, a long header, this will maintain or gain bottom and also give better top end pull, and runtimes are very good with this pipe, Mark over at Massive mods is liking it also.

Ok if I get the 3R motor and use a the Dynamite 053 on it what will I be losing as oposed to using the 086 which is what everybody recommends?

Maxx Life shoes are likely part of your problem...they slip alot more with strong engines. The OCM Redline and new Go 0801 pipes will be the best I think.


Use Mugen aluminum shoes...they grab alot better.

Bubonic, the 053 will add bottom to mid power, but will also make the motor top out or ramp up very fast=less top end speed, it's fine on very small high bite tracks, the 0801, adds or maintains bottom but has more topend on the 3 ports, i think it's the best pipe for the 3 and 5 ports, i am using one now on my 7 port and love it, runtimes are awesome with this pipe.

Pantara, the 0801 is not the same, they have completly different feel, to date the 0801 is the best pipe GO has made, well best out of the 2, i don't have a link, they are to new still but should be showing up on the stores, i have some on the way, this pipe just get's it done, and it looks very nice.
