got ? would a os 2060 work with the 3 port race spec .21 engine pretty good or ?? thnx will g

I don't know if this has already been asked but with the .21 non race motor the instructions that come with the motor and what is on the website is different for the break in procedure. Which procedure should be used ? Also if you go by the steps in the manual it does not tell you what temps you should be running at for break in. Just a little confused so just a little insight would help as im fairly new to nitro.
Thanks |

ok im having this issue with my go 5 port it seems that the bottom end is always too lean it lean bogs all the time ive tried everything and i cant get it to hold a tune i heard there are some faulty carbs and i have a feeling i have one of them.
|
What i found about the GO carbs is that the LSN is toooooo sensitive.
1/8th increment can get you from rich to lean without even knowing!!!! What i do is try to keep it rich and lean the HSN.Although i don't like this kind of tuning but seems to be the easy way out. |
if i get the bottom end set right and i start leaning the top my lean bog gets worse if i richen the top it gets too rich all around

Try setting HSN at flush and LSN at 1.5 turns in. Then tweak the the HSN if needed for good full throttle performance, then lean LSN until you get a nice steady idle and good clean acceleration off the mark after 10 sec of idle. |
what i mean is that if i turn it 1-2 hours rich the whole engine gets really rich ive never had a novarossi do that to me
ill give it a try though i keep setting the high end to slush getting the bottom set right then i tweak the top it runs great up top but hesitates like its lean |
Cheese. I have a new '08 5 port and 3 port coming in this week. I will bring it out so you can compare it with yours. I won't have time to break it in though.

ok cool if i have to replace the carb this will eb the first and last go i will ever buy.
i knew there were issues with earlier carbs and i just hope i dont have one of the earlier ones |
Make sure you are not having any air leaks.
Check for any fuel("fresh") on the engine after 3-4 tanks and try to spot the leak. All carbs are different...some need 1/4th increments some need only 1/12th. My previous OS required 1/12th adjustments at the HSN and 1/8th-1/4th at LSN. The GO requires 1/8th-1/12th for both LSN and HSN adjustments. These are for fine tuning. If you are way off then go with 1/8th and 1/4th. |
