Hey guys, I have about 2 gallons through my .21 5 Port Turbo and I can't get more than 6 mins out of a tank, temps are at 250 and don't want to lean it more, are the restrictors the only thing I can do to increase the run time?

clebo3, I've had my .21 5 Port Turbo run at 300 once or twice  and that sucker is still tight, I mean, I can turn the flywheel but it's very hard, I think you should be okay.

Wow, what pipe are you running? A friend of mine pitted at 10 mins this weekend to make it on two stops in a 30 min main, he almost always gets 11 mins. Temps at the end of the run was 235.

I'm running JP-4.

I can get 8 1/2 min on my 5p turbo pretty regularly with the 086 pipe with temps around 240-250.

Hey Guys.

Yeah i have a slight issue with run time... i get 7:55 - 8:05 with my 5pt running a GO2045...

Yet i easily get 9+ with my V-spec and the same pipe...

I sent you an e-mail Derricklong, We've been out of town all weekend racing in round 1 of the Minnesota Nitro series.
Go's are really catching on here! In expert buggy a pair of 7 ports placed 2nd and 5th. All of them ran awesome all weeekend.
In truggy my son who just joined Team Kyosho got second with a Govarossi! (I put a modded Go crank and rod in a Novarossi P5X, ran awesome!)

do you guys think it's the pipe (JP4)?, I also have a JP3 and a Hyper 2059 pipes, I'll give the 2059 a try and see what happens.

Very well could be, I went from a JP-4 to a 2050 (borrowed from TKO's Peter Martin) on my V-spec, and holy cow what a difference, it gained an extra minute and also ran with alot more snap and top end. So far I am not impressed with the JP-4. I am really dissapointed in knowing that I may be looking at $125 for a pipe, but I couldn't believe the difference it made.

Chris went to a 2060 on his 5 port from the 086 and it woke it up as well, but his mileage was about the same.

vti-chris 04-21-2008 05:49 AM

Mileage depends mostly on "finger" and track layout.
Then comes engine, exhaust, plug,...

zJatoRad 04-21-2008 11:06 AM

well our track has a long straightaway but after that it's all technical and a lot of torque is required because there are a lot of jumps after corners but still, other engines are getting better fuel mileage.

I'll give the 2059 pipe a try this weekend and post the results.
