2 tanks on the box

3 tanks idle to 1/4
3 tanks idle to 1/2
3 tanks idle to 3/4
3 tanks idle to full

Faten the HSN to flush
lean LSN 1 turn in from flush
use a old NR head or GO 5 port head during breakin, this way you won't fade the red off gthe head from the heat gun, and keep foil on the head on all 12 tanks, remove after 12 and use a conservitive race tune for about a gallon.

To all the guys that are currently running the Gotech 5 and 7 port engines:

How do they compare to others like the RB C6, WS7III, Stock Vspec, GRP Ninja .21, Werks B7 Pro? The reason I ask is because I'm about to pick up a couple new engines for a losi buggy and truggy and was wanting to try something different. I have owned the ones listed and was wanting a good comparison.

I was thinking maybe 5 port in 8T and 7 port in 8B?

Thanks

you will not be dissapointed. I was at CRCRC and walking big named engines

So far so good I was sponsored by a distributor of the Falcon engine which is a ninja and also ran RB and OS so far I have the 5 port turbo and very surprised I'm actually trying to detune it cause its such a beast on bottom and top.

Thank you!!!
I don't use a heat gun...i prefer a hair dryer!!!!
During the 12 last tanks do you lean the engine while increasing the throttle??? And by how much at a time?
How is it compared to the 5 port and 7 port?

7 port buggy 053
5 port or .25 6 port truggy 2047 or 086:sneaky:

VTI, maybe 1 1/2 on top, ans 1/2 on bottom then easy race tune and set the idle gap. keep foil on it, and heat for while if your using a hair dryer to saturate the entire motor.

mugenb46 02-12-2008 11:17 AM

Matt, after thinking about it, the 7 ports would suit the losi B and T better. The 5 and .25 are alot of motor, just depends on what the track is like and what kind of power delivery you like.

vti-chris 02-12-2008 11:20 AM

Does the 3 port R offer the same bottom end as the 5 port?

mugenb46 02-12-2008 11:26 AM

not as brutal, more linier than the 5 port

vti-chris 02-12-2008 11:35 AM

I hope it does better on mileage!!!
So i guess is something in between the 5 port and 7 port as far as power delivery?
I would expect a more powerful engine since it's supposed to be a new release and with all that lettering on top!!!!!!!!:)

LOL i could care less about all the lettering, but it does look good right:nod:, i think the idea behind the motor was to produce a more drivable but still fast and reliable motor, acombination of good bottom delivery and more top than the 5. This is no dought a great buggy mill, me and Russell both had no issues clearing 65 foot triples in GA, and tghey where holding there own everywhere else, and is 10 min good enough for runtime, i was getting that with a 2050 and 7mm insert. The motor rocks period. Oh and it hasnt been modded yet:sneaky::nod:

Ok thanks for the fast replies. I have a small backyard track that's roughly 120'x75' and I'm sure I will be making some trips to the farm II this year as well. I really am used to all different types of powerbands from nice linear ones to more brutal hit type engines. I always just adjust my driving style to what engine I'm running.

One last question I had was is it TRULY better to get the turbo engine vs the standard plug one?

mugenb46 02-12-2008 12:50 PM

truley better, it's all up to the driver, for me, i can feel the difference, and i like it better on the GO engine stock or moddd i can see it. if your able to change your style then tghe 5 port would be good on a small track, and the 7 in the buggy, you will blow up the tires on the buggy with the 5 portsome modded 5 ports are more linier, but it's all up to you, both are good, you can't go wrong if you can adapt to the powerband, the 3 port in the buggy would be very nice:sneaky:
