Default Onroad Track

Slowly but surely, the onroad side of the project is coming together. I've been keeping the light, steady pressure on with the city and keeping the planning and permitting process moving forward.

Once again, Tracy has proven invaluable with the design and drafting of the drivers stand. Many thanks to him. It would not be possible without him.

The first load of blocks has been delivered

Oh man, this is awesome! I swear, Tracy has some unprecedented talent, from 12th scale car stands to whole driver stands. Can't wait!

There are no outlets, no. I'd suggest getting an older car battery and hooking your charger up to that.

Thanks! didn't even think about it my truck has a 12v outlet in it. Just going to plug in my lipo charger into that and leave the truck running. I only have 2 lipos.

Uhhhhh... I wouldn't do that. I'm pretty sure you'll blow a fuse somewhere. If you're going to hook up to your truck's battery, do so directly to the +/- terminals under the hood. Just be careful to not drain your battery, obviously Only a few lipos shouldn't matter unless you have a battery that's already struggling.

Really it would blow a fuse? It's only charging a 2cell 5000mah lipo... I had no idea good thing I didn't try it yet. thanks

Most cars and trucks have 15-20amp sockets.

But you'll be surprised at how fast you can drain a car battery to the point where it won't start. They need that huge burst of cold cranking amps to turn it over. You'll have lots of battery power left but not enough amps to start your engine

Invest in a deep cycle battery and run off of that. I have one that will last all day. Not that expensive either.

Todd,

Glad to see this is still going forward. I now we have talked in the past about a rock crawling area but we(WARCRC) also have started a U4RC series...it's a mixture of racing and crawling.

Here is some information on U4RC if you haven't heard of it.

Do you have another work party planned soon? I wouldn't mind checking out the location.

Justin,

Here is our current schedule...

Rock racing looks like it kicks butt. I mentioned this was the future a few pages back... dialed. perfect place for it I think. Appeals to more people at that type of track I would think.. I think a section could be added to one end of the existing track to tie a rock racing loop in. Is there a site with rules as far as vehicles and what not or is it run what you got? Eyeing a Twin Hammers or a Yeti. Maybe an Exo Terra..

U4RC is blast! We are just doing a "run what you brung" type event for 2014 and the racers will be voting on if we are going to run the U4RC.com rules in the coming weeks.

In the 1.9 class drivers are running a lot of Twin Hammers and SCX10s. For the 2.2 class, drivers are running mostly Wraiths, Yetis and a few Exo(not the best with opens diffs.
