I like the rule change for Scale Spec at 1400g.
For next year... I would support a change to 21.5 Stock class on the carpet. The testing that my team has done on motors recently would suggest that the new 21.5 motors have the strength of last years 17.5 motors.
I like the Novice track time deal. We did that at our track last year and we had great feedback from our racers... both experienced and novice. Both experience levels appreciated being able to have a relaxed practice session and I think it helped us encourage more participation among our Novice racers to want to come back and we saw an increase in entries.

I love the 6:20 to 6:30 novice practice time, this is a great move. Some nights I am supporting 2 to 4 novices races, so this will be a big help. It's almost like another race round, a great chance for them to learn how to turn right and left.
Would it also be a good idea to follow a similar pattern with 1/12 scale and TC? Or MOD and Stock cars? I know that the small 60 minutes of practice goes fast and I am not saying that it should be too structured, but it might help to keep similar speed cars in practice at the same time. Just a thought.

Scale Spec would be solely 25.5 if the change is made.
Mod is supposed to be a severe jump. There's no rule that you have to put a 4.5T motor in to run mod. There's also no rule that you have to run turbo. Many don't.

SS will only be 25.5 as Mike said.
Bare in mind that the new 17.5's are very very fast and with time and development, will only get faster. 21.5s are also faster now and are a much more respectable speed for stock racing.
IMO stock should be reasonable speed that the more average driver can race. Faster isn't always better. I'm probably the minority in my thinking but I believe even mod has gotten too fast for most tracks.

Question for the group:
I have one of the first release Reedy 25.5's, which are legal for TCS but not for ROAR. I believe the only difference being the rotor size of the ROAR approved version. Would it be acceptable to change out the rotor to run in the SS class? I'm really not feeling another motor purchase...
Thanks for listening.

Big Al, We've been a stickler for motors being on the approved roar list. Its black and white that way. No gray area. I'll get Todd's thoughts as well incase its over-ruled.
Any idea what page the rules are on? I want to come and play, but can't find the page.

(Almost) Broken Transponder :-(
Hi,
The receiver plug on my transponder is almost broken. I can see the wires starting to come loose. I was wondering if someone could help me fix the plug at the first indoor race at the Community Center.
Thanks!

Which end is coming loose? The plug or at the transponder itself?
