Yea, Like Lynn says... I forgot about the XRay diff in the back end. That truly was a hybrid project by cutting the pulley off of the K diff and mating it to an XRay housing. It dropped about 35% of the rotating weight of a stock K Diff. A couple of bearing adapters and I was in business. Then there was that brilliant idea to saw the 2 speed in half. That seemed to work well at the Sizzler as first and second place cars had only a single speed trany. Oh, then there was the whole weight issue. FW didn't want to tech and they announced they wouldn't. So guess who put the car on Jenny Craig? At 1600g, it's probably 250g lighter then the average bear.
I should sell that thing to some basher and start over. Should keep the entry spec motor though, it tuned well.

My daughter wants to get into on road racing and since we are close to Seattle (we live on the Eastside) looks like we may be joining you on Weds nights.
A couple of questions:
What scale is your Novice class? Is it any car? Mostly 1/10's or is there a 1/18 novice class?
Can you explain the Scale Spec class? Is this a class for RTR's?
Thanks.

I cant speak for the normal Novice class, but your daughter is welcome to run with the regular 1/18th class. I dont know if she will have much fun at this point however since we aren't a novice only class.
If nothing else, she might have more fun in that not having to worry about 1/10th size novice cars rolling over her.

I feel I need to apologize for Wednesday night. I was not having a good day, and it just got worse. First qual I got turnstiled by one car, taking me out of third, then a body that reminds me if this () got into me a few times.
I go out to warm up for the next qual and again that car gets into me as we were coming in for an all stop and inspection.

I've been trying to make up for it with hustle on corner marshaling.
I'll get better, I promise.

Sorry guy's, I know I suck. Qual 1 was horrible. 2 was better than the driver. For the main, I've got no excuse but "panic mode" I've only ever driven 622 laps on the old track & last race night.

I've gotten really frustrated during races before too, and that takes the enjoyment out of it.
The better drivers must learn to help and be patient with newer ones, and the newer ones must be open to instruction and constructive criticism. If newbies are discouraged the club won't grow.
Keep on truckin'.
