Default ED pinions: Alum vs Steel

hi guys,
anyone tried the steel pinions? any reviews?

i believe the steel ones last much longer than the alum but at the expense of weight?

I haven't tried them yet either but I think your right on the wear rate V's weight deal.
Be interested to see how much on both points though.

Default G4 worlds upgrade kit

Hey Omarko
Its a shame that you are having trouble tracking down a dealer to service your needs...
I have the kits in stock and ready to ship
If your local dealers wont look after you maybe try and contact RC garage in Bayswater VIC as they will ship anywhere in AUS. I would normally like to see a local dealer step up but if that is not the case then........
Talk to Adam
If you still have no luck then let me know

Hi,
Is there a replacement pulley set for the Ed transmission? I got a G4Js on the way where i will swap parts on my g4s.

I'm just getting replacement parts and cannot find a direct pulley replacement set. I will order the front diff pulley, rear diff pulley and a pulley kit. Do you have to order one buy one?

Hi charlesd,

There is a small pulley kit in which you can get the ED transmission sized pulleys in plastic form (as per RS)

You do NOT get the rear diff' pulley, Brake pulley or front diff pulley. But I believe all others are included in the kit.
I just got a set. I'll try and find the part number and post later.

Nobody has these in yet.......besides the guys at the worlds that is. They sent all the ones produced along with a stack of spares.(including all their rear lower A arms !!, .......hence the shortage!?) to the worlds to help them out.

I would say,

www.rcshopping.com

will be one of the first to get them in. They ship internationally. But you'll find you'll be paying top dollar for the first ones out.

The pulley part No:'s

Pulley kit: 502321 (27t,20t,20t)
Brake pully: 502323 (21t)
Front diff' pulley: 502318 (30t)

Alum' front diff pulley for spool and one way: K14122-9

With the pulley set, you need to have the 'S' or 'RS' two speed and front lay shaft's in order to be able to use them.
If you want a direct aluminium replacement for your "ED" pulleys. You will need to buy them seperately. Or buy the whole "ED transmission kit"

Hope this helps.
