Question about the speed shot front end.

Is the upper carbon stiffener more solid than the regular (non speed shot) upper carbon stiffener? Or is there a nylon stiffener?

Just wondering as i went through 2 carbon stiffeners this summer

howdy Charles, there is a nylon replacement for the alloy section of the speedshot, where the hinge pins sit in. this allows more flex then before, and also stops the slop when you touch a wall or another car, the alloy one i found opened up a little and then the top arms had slop. the carbon section unfortunately there is no plastic brace for a replacement.

if the nationals are over, i must have missed them
a little over 2 weeks to go before i leave for the nationals. i do plan to have fun, maybe if Kym and the rest of the SA crew can stop organising entertainment, then i may be side tracked from the racing
i dont have any engines here so i wont be going to bunbury again till after the nationals. but i plan to get the TM buggy and go off road maybe for a while. but will also make a few trips to bunbury in between.

This year has been a write off for my racing and with the track closed I have lost touch with fellow racers. I hope 2008 will be o.k. to race somewhere. Maybe if track remains closed, there could be a WARCMCC golf day or something? What happened to your engines?
