Are the housings and parts different from the regular 1.0 and .8 twos speeds, or is just the spur and pinions different?

Performula,
The housings are the same for both the 0.8 and 1.0 spurs.

So everything is the same, just the actual gears are different? Thanks.

check your tire rear tires are wider than the front tires

@gonzoY5 & dg8one: As soon as I walked into the workshop I could tell that I had the tires reversed. :) It was a combination of a late night of building and being new to racing with foam tires.

Thanks guys.

Purple is softer than light blue. White is the Hardest I think.

Clutch Settings makes a huge difference. I use the ProSpec Clutch setup (light flyweights, hard spring, grey shoe) Then I put enough shims before the inside bearing so the clutch bell spins free without rubbing the clutch shoe when disengaged. It takes quite a few, but it works. Then I tighten the nut until i get the right snap out of the engine. My typical starting point is like 9.25mm from the end of the Crankshaft, then I adjust accordingly. If you keep the stock clutch parts, Putting the shims before the inside bearing shoudl still help, you can try to tighten down the spring tension adjusting nut a little more, but tighten it too much and it might cause slippage. Good luck.

thanks alot, using the stock parts dont i need to loosen the spring adjust nut to get a snappier first gear?

i want to get the prospec clutch setup i've been looking at it for a while.

do u know the part numbers on the clutch shims that go by the bearing, i cant remember does the stock clutch have shims there or just by the thrust bearing?

as a novice driver i with let you know that the 710 is nice but with not take a lick like the mtx. its durable and easy to drive. the 710 parts are just too thin for me, its a nice car for someone who doesnt hit much but i couldnt finish a race with it.
