I'm not so sure about the ackerman. A is supposed to have aggressive turn in, but I don't feel it, maybe it's my driving style, I don't know. I like the B the best. Never tried the C

Try the C, I like it a lot and always go to it for much more steering all around. :D

I have a MTX3 syntec clutch and I brought it used.....it came with a copper colored clutch spring, and I heard ppl are suppose to use SILVER one instead....just wondering what is the weigh (tension) of the stock copper one and what about the silver one...? Like which one is harder then which...?
I am actually looking for something soft.........is there anythign softer the copper one or the silver one....thanks for advance....

I just purchased an MTX3 standard kit with engine , any recommendations on what spares I should keep on hand and any hopups necessary for the car ? Also is the stock setup good ?

Scott Fisher 05-28-2005 11:14 AM

spare spur gears and front uprights.

Are there any upgrades that are absolutely necessary for the standard kit, or is it just fine the way it is? :)

Hi
Can someone please list the Mugen springs from lightest to hardest. I have blues, light blues, whites, greys, and don't know to what tension those colors correspond to.
Thanks
J

Get Universals and the .8 Module gearing and you'll be good to go.

If it is a copper spring with about 3 coils in it it is a Kyosho clutch spring, it is harder then the Mugen stiff one. :weird:

Hi there...
I'm having problems with stripped gears, as I mentioned in a post before...
Today I found that the problem is that the gear mesh won't mantain during the race, the engine moves slightly away from the spur gears...
I tried to solve this problem with some thread lock...
The red loctite between the engine mount and the chassis and blue one in the screws...

That only gave me some hell time to take it off as in the 5th minute of the race my super gear stripped.. I can say that it was really tight...
I've already grinded with some 500 sandpaper the blocs and the chassis...

I'm thinking of using the MTX2 blocks, which have 4mm screws... Anybody already tried?

Sorry for the long post..
thanks in advance...

I use 3x10 cap screws for the engine and 3x10 countersunk titanium screws for the mounts, it works fine and you'll never strip a gear again.

sorry guys for this question off the topic but I'm in need of a backup receiver for my airtronics mx3 radio, I was thinking for the Hitec HIS-03MK Receiver Single Conversion 75MHz, but I'd like to know if my cristals from my mx3 fm radio will work fine on this receiver since it is universal, also anyone has tried performance products crystals?
