You really need to talk to some Revalation guys but a couple of things that might help . . . .
Lose some rear droop - maybe even get it down to 2mm. I would have thought 2mm of rear camber was too little, but if your tyres aren't coneing, then . . . OK. Yes, smaller tyres help as does a stiffer set-up. You need about 4mm of tyre split to run the 16/19 conversion. Concentrate on driving smoothly, and even a bit slower in the traction roll prone areas . . . really! :D One flip can easily translate to a loss of about half a lap. |
I had the same problem at this years nationals I was trying a harder spring, harder anti roll bars and it just kept traction rolling then I noticed that other MTX-3's in the pits were running a softer spring and softer anti roll bars than me so I tried it and it worked I still don't know why but it worked and thats the main thing  :D
Hope this helps:sweat: |
having a car too stiff sometimes is a bad thing. I went with my buddy to crystal park and all his car did was traction roll right after the straight, after like the 3rd lap he went home:lol:

has anyone here, broke a radio tray? I have seen two cracked in between the tank and throttle servo already and would like to know if this is a common breakage part. wondering if there is a thicker radio tray available. I am a novice driver and would like to stock up on breakable parts for the mtx-3. thanks.

I was the guy runing with a pedal radio. When you put on a softer set up, it makes the car less agressive , so the car will not respond as quick. |
When you run a softer setup the car rolls more. As the car rolls it pulls the chassis closer to the ground making the car less likely to traction roll. A hard setting prevents the chassis from rolling over in the corner making it more likely to jack over the cornering wheel.
A mid corner traction roll usually means you are too soft. An immediate traction roll usually means you are too stiff. |
For tomorrow.....
Happy New Years! alots happend in 2004 hopefully 2005 will be even better....wink wink new mtx4 maybe? lol:nod:  |
Thanks for the reply guys

Happy new year guys !!! :tire: :tire: :tire:
What do you suggest for this kind of problems: understeer and oversteer in one package   My car is not stable at high speed, the car seems not planted to ground. The car would easily get too much left or right after I made small correction from transmitter's steering at high speed. In tight corner, the car have tendency to understeer if I enter that corner too fast. Ditto in sweeper corner, I can't hardly full throttle while other could. The car would overshoot to grass area if I enter that sweeper too fast. Exiting tight corner is another challenge because the car sometimes would spin out 180 degree at full throttle. Please... please... please.... What would you suggest ? I don't have to explain my current setup because my setup is sux anyway. My circuit condition: medium and long sweeping corners, few tight corners, one hair pin, and one curve long straight. Track temp: 41+ C. Weather temp: 33 C. Humidity: 78 % Smooth asphalt track with medium to high bite if not dusty. |
does any one have a site where i can get a receiver pack

Originally posted by serpentpro28 you need to upgrade you side braces with alum, and also the radio tray support,if you using the stock plastic you have a lot of play on mid-part of the car' |
top plate
Originally posted by miniracer I already have aluminum side brace and radio tray support. I have repaired the crack and sealed all the edges with ca. Hope this last until I can get a replacement tray. Anyone use aftermarket trays from 3racing or Kai? Feedbacks? Thanks for your replies!:D :D :D My stock one broke the first crash, 1.5 years ago, I still have it on the car no problems. |
