Hi Jeff

Sounds like your missing the castor clips. 2-3 mm play is way too much
you should have a bit of play maybe .5mm

check to see you have 2 castor clips on the upper arm. ive never seen that much play on the bottom arms. maybe you hsould try rebuilding the fornt end?

did you buy this car brand new or used?

I heard one time from a experienced person that this play helps stability in bumped tracks (like Jundai park in Sao Paulo).. but I don't know this deeply. Should I remove this play with thin shims or keep it?

I'm doing my car maintenance, and I'm having an another issue in the steering rods.

I mounted the steering blocks in arms and everything is ok, the movement is smooth when pushing it up and down, also when turning left/right. The problem is when I install the steering rods the movement starts to drag.. if I left in this condition will overload the servo.. I know this part must have a smooth moviment, but I'm not achieving that .. and I'm not understanding what is happening

I'm using the number 10 servo saver with bearings of WCE. It's strange without rods all moves smooth.. wonderfully, with rods connected its a nightmare

when a car has a bit of play, all the suspension components move to their prefered position when under massive loads e.g. acceleration, turning G forces etc. so if your setup isn't great the car finds its own 'centre'.
im not saying leave more than 1mm of play but just a little bit is ok.

if someone can explain it better feel free!

are the rods rubbing on the front bulkhead?
are the rods hard to snap onto the balls?
do the ballends pivot smoothly on the balls?

Does anybody know the part number for the EVO conversion kit?

It's time to give it a try.

I doubt it... not good enough yet. Plus I can't take a week off to race. I will go over to see the mains. The 1/8th scale should be incredible this year. I saw Chris T. last weekend and he was fast. I assume he will run that at the WinterNats. If he does, he might end Mickey's streak at the fort.

Default front bottom arm ear like part.. what is it?

hey guys
always wanted to know the true meaning and what these parts do to the setup.. im talking about the ear type parts that screw into the front of the bottom suspension arm. when you twist these up or down the suspension arm raises or lowers.

can i get a true answer about how to adjust these? thanks!

Those are your left and right eccentrics..these are used to adjust your downstops when setting up your car...they do not have any affect on the handling of the car...they are there to make it easier to setup the downstops and line evrything up....hope this helps....

No, they're not rubbing on the bulkhead. The rods have 3 months of race, and do a lot of snap to place it. One thing that I noticed the ball end of rod that is attached on servo saver ball is binding too much.. very rough, but the ball end to steering block is moving free
