Picard, I've used GQs, they were 2mm offsets in the rear if I'm not mistaken. Fronts were zero.

I've stopped because I was out in the tropics and found them take a while to heat up and then overheat soon after!

Haven't tried Sato's with the 710, only the MTX3 ... not bad.

I run GQ and the 0 offset fits fine front and rear. we won't run anything else anymore.

DELETE!!! DELETE!! Oh god, I'm doomed

Has D used his shell?...He was smokin our local track with it...
D's the king! http://212.227.253.81/forum/images/graemlins/bow.gif

He was having some problems with rear traction lately. Had a bouncy rear end and found the outdrives on the rear badly eaten up by the doggy bones.:( The rear suspension/wheels tend to move up on acceleration.(More apparent on a starter box) It happened to mine too but managed to cure it with a set of new outdrives.;)
Really  I notice in comparison to the 705 there wheels turn much further before the dog bones engage into the outdrives - I suppose lots of power and this larger gap leads to them getting eaten up!

I too decided to go and have a look at the track. Luckily I didn't bring the car(s), the BRCA 1:10 Electric Nationals was on! Track slightly damp but those guys were flying regardless! Now I need to go figure how to download the short video I captured onto the PC.

Yeah, the drifiting was great fun and also when the back end would suddenly step out - a bit of opposite lock and keep your "foot" down :D

I'd be interested in seeing those vids if you can dig them out

What tyres where the electric guys using? Maybe you should get some rubber tyres, too and go and blast the track

I'm just a bit paranoid until I get some spare thrust bearings - after I blew mine yesterday, a friend kindly offered me one of his from his TC3 Nitro - the hole measured 4.4mm in the carrier  so close yet so far
You can go to any bearing shop and get those thrust bearings. Size is 5x10x4. BTW, if you must know, the Mugen MTX-3 also uses the same thrust bearings in their clutch.

Smokin? Look who's smokin the track ! Whoosh !

The body was nice. But I thought the PF Stratus 2.1 had more steering. Maybe it's just me or that I mounted the Mazda 6 a little too much to the rear causing too much rear downforce. I will try to cut down on the rear wing smaller to see the effect.

Yup. I grinded the dimples in the outdrives of the rear ball diff and it was very smooth. The rear does not jump up on acceleration on the starter box as well as on the track. But after a few tanks, I thought I saw the rear do that again...:( I need to check.

Aha! Finding one is the problem though :(

So, D, as Michael was so kind in visiting you guys in Asia, are you going to repay the favour and come to the 200mm International at MACH? :sneaky:  Burn those guys with your Mazda!

They were +2 offset in the rear because a certain LHS brought them only for a certain car ! Jeez... They probably thought every one runs +2 offset. I got 0 offset rear GQ tires before and liked it very much. That was actually the onset when GQ tires were known here. Could not find those 0 offset ones anymore...:(

I was getting this impression with the Surikarn, too! But I have a huge wing at the rear - maybe I'll cut it down a bit
