If anyone is interested I can hook u up

I used to use them a lot. They provide very good traction in general but you need to be careful with the long mains ... they get more and more grippy as they get warmer.

If you've set your car when they're colder then you'll most likely traction roll by the time you're midway through the main. :(

I got caught out in two races and have decided to switch over ... need consistency man! ;)

What is traction roll?

Yep GQ is a good tires if u don't mind the edge cracking. its a 2mm offset tires., if i not mistaken...so make sure ye change yer track width b4 running it on spec'd race.

traction roll is when u have too much grip and car can roll on its top in the corner...happen so many times to me :D

ending up broken rear shock tower

Flip over

It's better to say "I had a lot of traction roll" than I flipped over all day:lol:

I just followed InitialD setup...and walla!! never traction roll again even after i used overgrip 35shores.
i found out the higher roll center do help my driving...interesting 710...love the variability!;)

There is a good info/explaining how to deciding tire shore for the long main from Art Carbonell :

When I just start out, if my car turns perfectly, I know I'm in trouble, because when the tires warm up,I know I'll have too much steering.
TIRE SELECTION from Art Carbonell

Just Info :
For GQ-MTCS (0 offset) tires compares to Ellegy EVI rim(stock green)
in Front EVI = GQ + 0.5
in Rear EVI = GQ + 1

Are you saying that the GQ tires are wider or narrower?

Which one is this? The one with the front solid axle setup?

I used 35 shore and 37 shore rear on that setup and it worked well too. No traction roll problems.

I use lowest roll center in the front and slightly higher roll center (UBO / LB) than the stock rear roll center (UTI / LB) with the solid front axle setup.

Thats good to know...I raised my front roll center as well so hopefuly I can test it out this weekend too. :D The rear roll center looks too difficult to play with so im going to just leave it as is :p

Thank God, Im mixed up
in Front GQ = EVI + 0.5
in Rear GQ = EVI + 1

So its "being" wider in trackwidth when using GQ tires.
Thanks bro...:D

If you using a Yokomo setting wheel to measure the trackwidth precisely, GQ is the closest.
