Default Flying 710

710 setup

Check this setup, this guy is not using racing line anymore.
Actually he is using flying line, very fast !!!

You can compare with other setup there, it was in same race and you will see the lap time difference.

Did the bodyshell come back from the 710 photo shoot? Nice looking shell BTW.

Looks like the rear post is smack in the middle of the wing mounting. Perhaps with the use of some additional spacers and longer screws, you could mount the rear body post further to the front. Just a suggestion.

I will try to work something out next time. I didn't want to mess with the rear support too much at this time. I still have to do some trimming on posts and exhaust.

Pit, it looks like you're running a pretty wide front trackwidth. More than 200 mm?

You may want to mount the steering linkage ball joint bellow the servo saver.

Ummm, what did he mean when he said "Rear Droop measure under the lower inner shock holes"? Is it not the same as taking rear droop at the knuckles?

Is that 70wt oil Serpent or Trinity? 4 mm front droop? For the rear roll center, he only changed the bottom insert to the highest? Is that really setup ride height of ride height taken with the 64 mm and 63 mm tires?

No, it's exactly 199mm up front, maybe the camera angle might be fooling you.

What would be the advantage of doing that?

Goldfinger found out that you get more aggressive steering if you mount it on the top. Less agressive and steering throw if you mount it at the bottom.

Julius mentioned that there is a reason why they are mounted below the servo saver.

I tried it the last outing and I could notice the difference. The aggresiveness of the steering is gone and instead you get a smoother and more controlled steering in and out. Perhaps you might want to try it out for yourself to see which you like.
