Ooops! Sorry, I should have read your post twice! Where do you live? In anycase the-Border has posted a mail-order answer ...

anyone have a idea on how to mod the swaybar tool? i can only get it to do verticle to 3/4 laydown.. maybe julius has already worked this it is a big deal when the track changes on you and you need to adjust before the start of the main, i would mod the chassis but it would go into therear holes on the front .. maybe there is a tool allowing each side to adjust avalable... a part num and were to get it would work too thanks

the old tool is available through ashford..

As I'm running the car on a small carpet track with no run-off, my driving is improving - I haven't broken anything yet!!

As I was in the UK over christmas, I haven't got any running done, but I hope to go the the carpet track on sunday.

As a side note and I've just remembered, do you have any news on the secret one-way thingy

Cheers, Mark.
Hey Mark,

I just saw that you spelled the name of your hometown wrong, it's actually Nürnberg, not Nuremberg.

No mods done for Lola...just a couple of holes for the shock tower and bumper...can wait for the conversion to come to our shores.

It's not actually misspelt, that's the international name for Nürnberg. Try this:

www.nuremberg.de

Click on this british flag on the site and then you'll see the international spelling for the town.

Glad to be of service, Mark.

That doesn't appear to be necessary. When on the pins, the flyweights pivot out at an angle, and the only problem apears to be lack of sufficient force to fully engage the clutch. This is not a problem with this mod.
A related concern is the total weight of each flyweight after modification. They are obviously not exactly the same when cut by hand. I discussed this with Robert of Ashford Hobby, and the advisability of obtaining a balance scale and doing this with great precision. He said that they used to do a lot of this in 1/8 scale years ago, with no great commitment to exactness, and didn't have any problems.

Ok, this is a clearer picture of what and how it is done. I took the opportunity to take pictures when I mounted a spare Centax III clutch onto a spare engine. That's why it's clean and nice.

Please note that this is not a Serpent sanctioned mod and will not take any responsibility if anything bad happens. It worked wonderful for me and for Jack too.

After the 3 flyweights are shortened, install it like this on the flywheel. They sit in nicely.
Nice Mod............kinda looks like what I 'v been doing to mine.

Ammdrew, if you're talking about the front anti-roll bars, they are hollow with a female 2mm allen fitting in them. Just stick your 2mm Hudy driver in and twist away. If the're binding on something, you'll have to figure that out. Mine don't.

Cool, I guess we won't have to cut open our chassis then. Still the tool would have been a better solution since it grabs both arms and adjusts them exactly the same... But I guess you can't have everything. Maybe a tip for Serpent as an optional...

Just buy the car...! You will love it And when the 710R (or whatever it will be called) is out then there will be an upgrade.... I hope so....!
