At a guess, I'd say anyone throwing up pricing now is gambling a little, from what I heard no dealers had received an actual price list yet, so it's more sellers trying to cash in on sales based on the EC win, and the desperation to pre-order based on that.

My original educated guess was ~$550 based on what you see 10th sell in comparison to their 8th brothers, but it's just as possible depending on the kit spec and parts Mugen decide to include, that it will more like around $650.

someone on the aussie forums said it is $580 aussie. i think that's a fair price, considering the hype. I recon it will drop down to $500 or low $500's after the hype is gone.

That's is correct! No official parts list pricing or official release date yet!
All I know for sure is that the kit will cost less than the mrx series so I bet. That kamikaze and amain are near the right price! Will post parts once received

Til then can't wait after 6 years

Yes, they are just about to price themselves out of the market. This pre-order price is not much cheaper than the MRX5. These cars are creeping ever so close to the price of a 5th scale that soon, it will be cheaper buying a true gas car than one of these. I will probably still get one, but by the time the MTX6 comes out, I will probably tap out by then and go offroad.

Sure, go offroad racing. Then you can buy one of these:

Sorry, wouldn't be doing nitro offroad if I do. I would be going electric 10th scale if I do make the jump down the road. That Kyosho is too rich for my pockets.

So more carbon, machined alloy, and features than ever, add in inflation, and that the US dollar is in the toilet, yet it's still only $550 when a Capricorn costs more like $650, and some still don't like the price?.

I must be insane, cause the prices where I am are looking good lately to me...

What I'd like to see though is numbers pick up, on-road nitro has been in a slump here for some time. :(
(Hopefully though there will be a horde of MTX5 pilots out there soon though.)

would the MTX5 be MTX5 EC or should I wait a month after the release for that version ?

I doubt there will be a EC edition since everything on the car is new.

If and thats a big if we do see a E.C. kit I'm sure it would be in very small numbers and something that mugen.eu put together. The car Robert was running would still be considered a production prototype and I believe that was the last of the testing, so the kit car is not to far away.
Yeap $550.00 + shipping is what I'm selling them for.
