And after a struggle is constant from the first laps, Pietsch manages to win with his MTX5 on Dirk. Both have the same lap clocked a time of 42-48 seconds. Perhaps one off or more.

MTX5 Europe Champion:tire:

The way I saw it watching the timing, Rob had it all in the first 3/4 of the race, then with less than 1/4 to go, I'd say Dirk went for it hard, cause he suddenly pulled out his fastest times, like go from broke type stuff at the end, and damn if the race had been another 5-10mins, he may have gotten it...

But no MTX5 is supreme... :spidey:

10 10 Balestri Dario

No error. Notice those are times for BOTH the A and B semis. Dirk may have been faster than Dario but Dirk finished 7th. You don't get the bump up from 7th.

I do not see a Stamler into the final, I think he was diqualified?

No, he finished 7th in his semi. Therefore, he did not make the main even though he was quicker than Dario in the other semi.

wingracer 08-20-2011 01:11 PM

I don't have the rules in front of me but it looks like it works like this:

The top four from each semi go to the main, that is:

From A:
Pietsch
Dankel
Huber
Leino

And from B:

Wischnewski
Krober
Spataro
Balestri

That puts 8 in. Leaves room for the 2 fastest from whichever semi, that would be:

Berntsen
Derderion

Both from the same semi as Stamler, who was 7th. You don't get a bump from 7th place no matter how fast you are because there will be two guys faster than you (5th and 6th).

Roelof 08-20-2011 01:17 PM

Yep, the best 4 of each semi final and the 2 time fastest of the remaining 12 semi final drivers.

If you are 4th in one of the semi's with a very bad result you are still in.
