Finally got around to relocating the pressure ports on my dual chamber pipes. Not as hard as it looks:
- 9/64 drill bit
- 8-32 tap
- GS pressure fittings
Drilled and tapped the holes, cut 1/8" off threaded part of pressure fitting (it hit on the inner chamber at full length), slipped an o-ring over the threaded portion, red locktite on the threads, thread it in, then sealed with carb sealer. Air tight, and looks good too. Too bad they'll probably be replaced with a RD Logics pipe soon!

P.S. Forgot to add, 1/4" of fuel tubing & a 3mm button head screw to seal off the old pressure port.

Frani,
I received the 1/8 scale pipe last week. Put it on my mrx3,but the way things are going out east, won't be able to test it out till March I have the new ae dual chamber pipe coming in hopefully today, I will get the rd logics too when it comes available. Esp with this car, haveing a spare is a good idea. Hopefully, after testing, I can set one for torque and one for high speed, depending where I am running for the day.

Default NTC3 Exhausts

Hi my mate has just bought himself a almost new NTC3 which came with the old single chamber exhaust. My question is what is the differance between the single chamber pipe, and the dual chamber now in the new NTC3 kits give me the differances based on; torque, power, power band, noise, and overall performance. Also which of the two pipes are BRCA race legal? thankyou for your help, Dean

Can you tell me the internal diameter of the stinger pipe exit please?

In England we have a maximum ID of 5.2 mm to run in our National series.

Dual chamber pipe is the only BRCA race legal pipe.

Having run both pipes early last year, the dual chamber pipe is better all across the range in my opinion, so long as you relocate the pressure take off for the tank into the second chamber. Drill it in the same place on the tapered section as the AE team did at the World Cup last fall in Cincinnatti. Mine has 3 different holes in it whilst I tried to find the best place !

The lower pressure in this part of the pipe gives a more stable and lower tank pressure, hence you may need to richen the mixture when you retune the engine. It stops the motor hanging on at high revs and improves fuel economy too.

The RD pipe will have a 5mm inside diameter
and should be legal for sanctioned racing.
