I would also like to see the info on the top ten cars of
each class. A list with the drivers name, make of the car
and engine should be posted. I still haven't seen any info
about the race posted on any of the rc news sites either.
Most all of the big rc race events have had someone posting
the post race info on the Red rc or Neo-Buggy news sites.
Did this race get any media coverage of any kind?

Wow, what a great weekend for all of GT racing.
I would like to 1st thank all of you dedicated racers that attended the Ipanema Sports 2010 GT World Championships. You are the pioneers of our sport and the true reason that GT racing is growing stronger in popularity all over the world!
A big thank you also needs to go out to Doug, Johnny, everyone in the Homestead R/C club and the great people of Homestead/Miami Speedway for providing us with a great R/C racing venue. You made us all feel very welcome, gave us a challenging track and kept our event running super smooth.
Big time “props” to Max Velocity, Byron Fuels, RC Scoring Pro, Novarossi USA, Live R/C and all that helped me before, during & after for trying their best to help support the GT racers during the Ipanema Sports 2010 GT World Championships racing event. While “all the rest” came up with lame excuses, you all stood tall with Ipanema Sports to help made it happen.
I had a great time, put faces to names and made a lot of great new friends & associates. While I wasn’t able to run my Blackhawk GT1 car much, I was great to see all of you GT maniac’s tearing up the track and living the GT racer dream…….. Nothing but GT cars racing all weekend long. Fantastic!
Who did what and ran, you ask?

Ipanema Sports “Long Distance Traveler” award went to Pablo Riveros from Chile.
Ipanema Sports “Concourse” award went to Omar Horta.
The international GT competition was fierce & tough, but very friendly and we all played pretty well together.
I look forward to being able to announce the “Ipanema Sports 2011 GT World Championships & Pre-Worlds” information, that’s already in the planning stages as I write this post.
Thanks again to all that took part of R/C racing history and remember, Ipanema Sports is GT racing!

Jeff, Sounded like a great party. I talked to Gus and Andy from the Utah Crew and they spoke very highly of the event. I hope to make up for my mistake in not attending this year's event and making the next Worlds.

Congrats to all the racers who went to the race, first ever GT worlds. I am sure the class will only get bigger as the time and stories grow and more and more people start to enjoy how much fun these cars really are to run and race. Wish I could have gone down but I know the PR contingent had a blast from these stories from Jaime, Ivan, and crew.
Jeff congrats on what I hear was an awsome event, everyone seems stoked to have been a part of the race. I was with you guys in spirits... Awsome job bro. Kudos to you.
Now I hope we get to see some pictures get posted soon!!!
Congrats to all the GT racers!
