One of the Brazilean pitmen fell down and hurt himself with the wooden pit divier. My guess is that he must have at least one or two broken ribs. Because of this the A Main GT1 had to be cut short.

I must say that this was one of the best racing experiences that I've had. The guys from Ipanema (Jeff) and the Homestead track put on a great show. Ipanema, Maxvelocityracing, Byrons had all their great products at hand. The guys from here that were in attendance where just great. I met Timo (he was next to me in the tent). Jlock and bubbacola are great guys. Thank you bubba for the DM1 diet plan! I also have to give thanks to the guy that had all the parts that my pitman had to buy for his car (sorry I don't remember your name but it was great to meet you as well). Jeff (Ipanema) my man your tires were awsome as usual and thanks for the tips on the tires.

I'd be interesting in hearing about the equipment used by the guys in the amain. Which car, which engine, any worthwhile part upgrades, etc?

I know Joaquin de Soto Jr. won with a NOVAROSSI 35 PLUS Engine in an OFNA car with Ipanema tires. I am pretty sure the car was bought as a ready to run. The servos and receiver were upgraded to KO Propo. The brakes were changed to the OFNA steel disk and pads. Other than that the car was left in stock condition as far as I know.

Below is a picture of Joaquin's car just after it was built on Wednesday night. The other picture is his car with body as he raced it at the Ipanema Sports 1/8 GT World Championship.

Paul Roberts won the Spec class with a Kyosho with the Ipanema body. He actually blew the motor with like a minute left in the race but he had such a big lead it didn't matter.

I would also like to see the info on the top ten cars of
each class. A list with the drivers name, make of the car
and engine should be posted. I still haven't seen any info
about the race posted on any of the rc news sites either.
Most all of the big rc race events have had someone posting
the post race info on the Red rc or Neo-Buggy news sites.
Did this race get any media coverage of any kind?
