How full do you fill the diff when adding Diff oil? Just up the cross?

Well, what I do is fill the diff gear just enough to cover the top bevel shaft. Then I wait about 10 mins to let the fuild settle in and fill the gaps below. After that, I re-check it and add more fluid if the level went below the top bevel shaft. I repeat the same process over again until the fluid has settled in and covers the top bevel shaft. Hope this helps

Thanks guys this really helped...

The biggest problem (my first time) was getting the old diff oil out of the diff But after a lot of motor spray and paper towels... I got it done...

No problem. Another thing that you can do is to soak the differential gears and differential case in kerosine or denature alcohol. Don't forget to remove the o-rings first or else they are gone Using the above mentioned solvents makes the removal of the old differential oil easier and faster

Question, as I'm new to the Nitro thing, how is the width of the car measured, I understand you are trying to get 200mm, but is this measurement taken from the outside of the tire to the outside of the tire?

Just trying to understand better...

hey guys, Matt here in Houston. I am in th emiddle of adding an EVO to my lineup. In your opinions, how much easier/harder is touring in comparison to 1/8. I've been driving 1/8 for about 5 years now and thought I would give the ole touring car thing a whirl. Sirio evo to boot. Anyways, just curious about the conversion and differences of driving 1/8th to touring.
Thanks,
Matthew

You should do well coming from 1/8th touring might be a little easier after you adjust your driving since you can't really drive a 1/10th the way you would drive a 1/8th
