M2C NB48 GAS BUGGY
http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/j...AS%20BUGGY.jpg
M2C RACING IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THE RELEASE OF THE NB48 GAS CHASSIS These chassis are made using 4 MM thick 7075 aircraft grade materials and clear anodized. use of this material greatly increases the overall life of the chassis. we have tested and tweeked these chassis to provide the racers a top notch chassis that will perform very well on all surfaces. This model is made for the tracks with a high wear charastic like the tracks we have out West,up north and in Canada It is important to note that these skid plates fit flush to the bottom of the chassis and will not effect the droop settings and cause you to scrub speed on the landings. FEATURES: We have made the diff cutout thru and added material back to this area of the chassis to stiffen up this area. This should help decrease the possibility of broken spur gears due to chassis flex. We have also reworked the motor area to and deleted the stock motor mount and replaced it with a rock solid 3 pc quick change mount design that we have using on the mugen for years. we have also pocketed the motor mount area 1 mm deep. this along with the mugen mount being 1/2 mm shorter than the stock mount lowers the CG of the motor by 1.5 mm. An added benefit of the is that now you can now use about any starter box on the market desiged for 1/8 scale cars. PLEASE NOTE: You will no longer have the rear motor mount or reverse diff option with this chassis. We talked to a number of drivers and no one uses the rear mount option. We have adopted this model so that if you wish you can cut off the front bumper to help the vehicle not to get upset on landings and increse ground clearance. hardened front and rear replacable skid plate. It is advised you replace the skid plate when the edge of the skid plate wears down to 1 mm. This will make the chassis last much longer. hardened droop stops to prevent chassis wear and droop changes. INCLUDED IN KIT: skid plates: m2c 6501 (front and rear skid plate) m2c 6502 (front rear skid plate) motor mount: m2c 5230 OPTIONAL PARTS: m2c 5231 top rails for quick change motor mount. m2c 6100 4 shoe variable weight clutch kit: this kit will work with the stock clutch bell and the shoes last 1.5 to 3 gallons. PLEASE ALLOW 2 TO 3 WEEKS DELIVERY TIME |
I helped Mitch developing this and if you need a chassis I would recommend it. The steel skids help a lot with chassis wear.

You shouldn't need to add any weight to the rear of the car.

My son had the pleasure to test this new chassis out this past weekend at the King of Kings race at Stateline rc in Fremont, Indiana.
We would get to test all day on Friday, and really liked the results. The buggy was more stable in the corner, and definitely rolled thru the center of the corner and off better. The quality is hands down, amazing. The quick change engine mount is a great addition, and makes maintenance quick and easy and also makes engine swaps quick and smooth. The wear pieces on the bottom of the chassis are a great feature, and will definitely make the chassis last longer. Before installation, we could tell that the new m2c chassis had a lot less flex, and this is something I really like, even though most people like chassis flex. All in all, Mitch built an amazing chassis, and we cannot wait to race it again. My son would end up qualifying 11th out of 58, and finish 13th overall. Many big names from around the Midwest were there. Lutz, Derek and Collin Weatherholt, Tyler Jones, Zac Rose, Chad Due, and many other fast guys. |
I bought a NB48 yesterday used and its missing the servo steering link .... Does anyone have a spare they would get rid of ? I don't want to buy 4 balls , 16 plastic pieces, and a link just to replace this one part....
