Can you post your setup? I run pretty much the same setup for both cars.

I don't have it in pdf, it was based on one of Joe's. Do you have a copy of your setup? I was thinking of using one of Ryans as a base, but his are pretty old.

One of the best upgrades for the brakes!
TKR5206 brake discs
TKR5214 brake pads
TKR5215B 10° Offset Steel Brake Cam

Also, do I have to scuff these with sandpaper? Is so, what grit works best and how often do I have to scuff them? Thanks.

I didnt sand the brakes at all. What I did notice that with the stock brakes i need more pressure/EPA from the servo to stop the car. Which would tweak the center diff a little while on the car stand. With the fiberglass brakes I used less EPA in my radio and the center diff barely moved.

I guess if one would secure just the pads edges with some cyano glue when new, they would hold longer ..

I believe I do somewhere on my computer. In between heats tomorrow ill make a setup sheet of the most recent setup ive been running that seems to work everywhere extremely well with only minor adjustments.

Any word on when the universal shafts are going to become available? Sure would like to get my hands on some.

masher81 05-29-2015 12:56 PM

The universals won't fit the current buggy.

I've been routing the fuel like as described in the manual, wrapping around the tank, but I don't like it. Wrenching last night I noticed part of the fuel line had become wedged in between the tank and the steering stand off. Seems like a easy way to DNF to me. Anyone using an alternate routing?

I just run my fuel line up and to the side of the pipe.

I think the reason for routing the fuel lines according to the manual is for fuel capacity. There is nothing wrong with routing your line from the tank right to the carb, but you will be under the maximum fuel capacity limit. I have not had mine tested but maybe somebody can confirm this? If you are not going for 10 minute stops it won't affect much but every little bit helps when trying 10 minute stops.
