Yes, its old tank, i've mounted it waiting for new tank (and to show whats happened). "New" cracked tank is in the trash probably, i'll try to find it to show that crack

Tank will crack if the body is sitting on it ( or on the clips ) At least two of my cracked 'old' tanks happened when the car landed or rolled on its lid after a jump. Later figured out that shortening the tank posts i.e. giving the body more clearance, stopped the tanks cracking. In fact worked so well that I am still using the 'old' style tank waiting for it to break so I can install the new one.

Saw Bitty's new XB8 "Force" body on NB today and was curious about the fitment options for the Tekno after seeing the following statement, "The stock XB8 body is the same as the previous XB9 body, and must be adapted to the new car." I dont know if previous refers to x33 or x49 part numbers but I kind of like the design.

I will look at my car and take a pic of that area. I am not sure if I have accidently done something different but I haven't had any tank issues nor has anyone I know of. I will snap a pic tonight when I get home, maybe I have cut more body away from that area without even knowing??

I have about 4mm above and 6mm behind the tank before any contact with the body. If you press on the body by hand it will contact the tank. Just seems like an odd area for a lot of force to come down on.

The posts are the same for the truggy and buggy the only difference is the height of the tank to acquire fuel capacity on the truggy.

Yes indeed they do. It's always a good idea to use the same brand diff oil in all three diffs if possible.

My car has felt great but everyone seems to be raving about your setup on here so figured a small club race would be a good time to try it out. My current set up is very similar to yours except I run fioroni pistons, front camber and 7-7-5 losi diff oils otherwise the link and shock mounting is the same as well as hinge pin settings. I ran 553 but it was blowing tires of the rims so went up to 775 and didnt notice much handling difference.

Later,
I truly cant say enough good about mine. My prior 1/8s were the TTR EB4 S3 (great concept but fell way short of expectations) followed by a long lay off from 1/8, into an 8ight 2.0 and later an RC8.2. While the latter two worked well for me, I was never as comfortable as I am with the Tekno when driven on the edge.

As it stands, the only thing I'd like to remedy is some front end bounce coming off jumps when I dont hit the landing properly. Outside of that, it has been very forgiving and allows me to get right back on the throttle without needing to let the buggy settle in pretty much every other situation. Thought for sure I was going to lose a front arm during the last race when I went a little too wide over a large table top and caught the left front tire/arm on the pipe. Forward momentum came to an abrupt halt and the buggy spun 2 or 3 times in the middle of the track before coming to rest. I was sure something was broke but I drove away without issue.

What oils are you using?
