Just about to convert to the TLR +14mm chassis and was wondering if I need to get longer drive shafts?

sickpuppy1 09-27-2012 09:04 PM

Center ones, yes

prowlag 09-27-2012 09:24 PM

Any part numbers?

prowlag 09-27-2012 09:48 PM

So the only thing I need to change is the front and rear centre driveshafts?
LOSA3528 and LOSA3590? Cheers

Front Center isn't any different. Unless your talking Old Style CV Vs New Style U Joint.

I have thestock 454 motor and purchased two new o'donnel glow plugs for it. I got the ones for .21 to .50 displacement motors.
When I pulled the plug that was in the motor, threw o'donnell plugs are longer. Not only on top (which wouldnt really matter) but also on the threaded side. I'm worried about internal piston clearances. Will the plugs be okay to use as is? Should I use two copper gaskets on the new plugs? Is that even recommended? If I've gotten the wrong plugs, what should I get for general bashing?
Thx

I never used those plugs but I'm sure someone will know. One thing that I would suggest is that you buy the turbo head kit LOSR2245. It's cheap at $21 bucks or so and comes with two turbo plugs, plus shims to shim the engine for 30% nitro. Made a big difference in mine! It's a beast!

+1. The turbo conversion really wakes these motors up, Deffinetly a great investment.
