Thanks, I also did that. That trick I remember from way back. My mesh is good. It's that "perfect" alignment of the motor so it's straight I want to make sure I get right so I don't wear out the gears. I think I got it. 99% sure it's straight.

Calipers and Measure is the Only way to get it Perfect. Good condition washer's and chassis is kinda important however.

Nope, Gen 2 tray. It sounds like it's really trying to find perfect neutral but it's just a hair away. Like something is holding back. I can only think that it's the friction in the slide carb that is the cause because I can fiddle with the throttle trim and it stops.

My next main concern is limiting the flex in the tray. I'm thinking maybe attaching "legs" to a couple of spots.

if your tray is flexing check your servo travel, it sounds too far which will lead to early servo failure. When I check my end points I always make sure I can pull my carb by hand a bit more maybe an 1/8 th inch, and when I brake it doesn't lock up the wheels, the steering shouldn't cause flex unless you are going way too far in one direction.

The only difference between the 2 is the RR comes built for you and you have to build the kit yourself. Nothing is different between the 2 in parts.

I guess you have to use the long tank pulls right? The hoop style is just to short
