The best way to set your camber is to use some blank rims and a camber gauge on a setup board. Set your ride height with the tires you want to run, pull them off and use some blank rims to set toe and chamber. You can measure from front of rim to rim and rear of rim to rim to get your toe. I run 0deg of toe, so my measurement from front of the rim to the rear of the rim is the same. I have always ran 0deg on 4wd cars.

When your car is bolted to a setup station the geometry is actually incorrect and gives a false reading.

I don't really unterstand but also i don't have set up board.
But you are talking about toe not camber,is that right?

Joey is saying to use a traditional camber gauge. Instead of mounting tires, mount just the wheels to the chassis.

You can do both, RPM sells a good camber gauge and you just need a smooth surface. For the toe I use a scale or tape measure but a machinist scale is the most accurate.

On 1 to 1 cars, they use a aluminum plate on both sides of the car and measure front and rear of the tire to get toe. The pic is just a fancy tool but you can get the idea. I just carry this idea into RC racing.

It should be the same process you would use for the kyosho, are you useing a vented cap? (behind the bladder)

Care to elaborate as to why this is so?

I just did the experiment myself and you are correct. It is indeed different when the wheels are on compared to what the setup station says it should be ? But why is what i would like to know.

My Huddy camber gauge is showing 3deg of camber and its correct, the gauge is in fact leaning in on a 3deg angle. But as soon as you attach a wheel (in my case a brand new AKA Evo with wheel stiffener installed) it is showing 0deg ? That's a big difference. And i put a carpenters square up against the wheel and it is in fact at 0 or 90deg with the ground.

Why would the setup station be designed is such a way to give false readings ( well its not really false but its different to what the wheels are when installed on the car) ?
