Default starter box set up

I'm having a real hard time setting up my mugen box. Would someone be so kind to post a pic of how to line-up the MBX6 on a Mugen Starter Box. Maybe with some measurements on where the posts go. I can't come up with a good configuration...I tried setting up the box first before building the buggy by just using the chassis, after it was built it didnt line up.

Thank you!!

Hi guys.

I donīt have the patience to read through all the info in this thread right now so Iīll post my question and I hope you can answer.

Iīm currently racing the AE RC8 and I donīt like the handling among other things and seriously thinking about doing a switch to the MBX6 right now!...

My question is: what do I need to invest in regarding optionparts? Is there something thatīs really necessary to improve handling and/or toughness and I donīt mean bling.

Any tips for setups, like different pistons/springs I would need.
Are you racing with original diffs or something else?

Please help me out here, I want a competitive car but donīt want to invest in bling that doesnīt result in better laptimes etc.

Thanks.

As for parts all you need to upgrade are the upper arm mounts. Replace with alum. and your golden.

It is best to set up the box position pegs, with the buggy completly built and the motor out. You should be able to line up the flywheel hole in the chassis perfectly, set the peg positions and make sure the starter box wheel is right where you want it before putting the motor back in.

I did not even change the upper arm mounts & have not had a problem. I've been running the car weekly since last September. I too came from the RC8 & for me there in no compairison. Mungen>AE. I will note that the MBX6T came stock with the aluminium upper arm mount so Mugen must agree with the majority on this forum about the mount being a week link. Maybe I'm just lucky.

I needed new o-rings for my diffs so i bought S5 orings from tony's screws. It said for mugen. But thease are slightly bigger. lt says for the mbx5r on the package, but on his website it says just "mugen". Can i still use thease?
