No not really. Ive broken the screw like twice and cracked the entire brace once on my RC8B.
Suppose it could happen if you hit something really hard aswell but I cant really recall having done so.

Is there any possibility your tightening the screw to tight?
The heads will snap of if it's there tight. Which screws do you use, The black-oxide ones with the kit are pretty strong.

I have had that happen too, caused me fits till I figured out what was wrong. I only use Loctite on a few things but that is definatly one of them.

Thumbs up

This is an excellent forum for RC8T Beginners, I found too much tips for racing and correct maintenance. Please ignore some comments with no sense (from users like TC5) like I do

This tread does have a lot of good info in it, too bad you have to sift through 195 pages to get it. Is there any way to do a thread clean up to get rid of all the bs and stuff?

Well I wouldnt think theyre too tight but its sort of hard to say, I probably tighten the rear one tighter but that never cracks.
And yea Im using AE 12.9 grade screws, same as in the kit.

I had this same problem, I found that I was overtightening the screw. So I used loctite, and didnt use as much torque. However, after that, I decided to drill out the aluminum block and chassis brace to use a 4mm screw. Problem solved. lol

At a glance the ce will have the blue A,B,C,D blocks. And silver Cambre links and the smaller steering rack out the box. Other than that I don't think a rtr has threaded shock bodies?
